First Impressions
Walking up to Silicon Valley studio on Strahinića Bana street, you might wonder if you’ve got the right address — this isn’t your typical hotel setup. It’s actually a studio apartment that feels more like staying at a tech-savvy friend’s place in the heart of Belgrade‘s old town. The building itself has that classic Serbian architecture you see throughout Stari Grad, but inside you’ll find something completely different. I mean, the name gives it away, but the modern setup still surprises you when you first walk in.
Location & Neighborhood
Honestly, the location is pretty much perfect if you want to experience Belgrade properly. You’re right in Stari Grad, which means you can walk to Kalemegdan Fortress in about ten minutes, and Skadarlija (Belgrade’s bohemian quarter) is just around the corner. The couples who stay here aren’t wrong when they rave about the location — there’s something romantic about being able to stroll to the Danube riverfront or pop into one of those traditional kafanas without needing any transport. Plus, having private parking in this part of the city is actually a big deal, trust me on that one.
The Studio Space
The studio itself is set up like a modern workspace that doubles as accommodation — think clean lines, good lighting, and all the tech amenities you’d expect from the name. There’s a proper work area if you’re here on business, but it doesn’t feel sterile or corporate. The space is compact but well-designed, and you know what, it actually works better than some larger hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. Everything you need is within arm’s reach, and the layout makes sense for both short stays and longer visits.
Practical Considerations
Since this isn’t a traditional hotel, don’t expect room service or a front desk — it’s more of a self-service situation. But that’s part of the appeal, really. You get your own key, come and go as you please, and have the independence to explore Belgrade on your own terms. The private parking is a genuine bonus in this area where finding a spot can be a nightmare, especially during summer when the city gets busy with tourists and locals alike hanging out in the nearby pedestrian zones.
Why Guests Love It
What really works here is the combination of that unbeatable location with a no-fuss approach to accommodation. You’re staying in the real Belgrade — not some tourist bubble — but with modern comforts and reliable internet (which matters more than you might think in some parts of the old town). The high rating makes sense when you consider that you’re getting authentic Belgrade living with the convenience of being walking distance from pretty much everything worth seeing. It’s particularly great for couples who want to explore the city’s café culture, nightlife, and historic sites without constantly worrying about getting back to some distant hotel.
To book a hotel in Belgrade near Kalemegdan Fortress, visitors plan ahead before beer garden season and concerts take over the ramparts.

What Our Guests Say
Nice location , balcony - must be good in summer.
What could be improved: The bed on the second floor is positioned near a vent that occasionally makes noise. I had trouble falling asleep because I was worried that mice might come out of it. Of course, that didn’t happen, but having a vent pipe so close to the bed wasn’t reassuring feature.
Sve je bilo odlično, domaćin ljubazan, lokacija perfektna. Sve preporuke.
Very good location, lift is available to the 5th floor, the appartment on the 6th floor.
Fantastic view from the balcony. South facing balcony. Balcony is big enough for 4 people to sit around.
Great host, provided us wuth an extra bed because my husband couldn't get into the elevated bed.
What could be improved: A fan in the toilet wasn't working
What could be improved: there was no trash can in the apartment
