Silicon Valley studio
So I'll be honest – when I first saw "Silicon Valley studio" on a booking site for Belgrade, I was scratching my head.
So I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Silicon Valley studio” on a booking site for Belgrade, I was scratching my head. But after staying there on Strahinića Bana street, it actually makes perfect sense. This little 4-star spot sits right in the heart of Stari Grad (that’s Old Town for anyone wondering), and there’s this tech-meets-history vibe that somehow just works.
The location is what really got me – you’re literally steps from Knez Mihailova, which is Belgrade’s main pedestrian zone where locals do their evening stroll. I mean, you can grab your morning coffee and be people-watching within two minutes. The building itself has that restored Belgrade charm, you know, where they’ve kept the old bones but made everything actually functional. Check-in was surprisingly smooth (no twenty-minute wait while they “find your reservation”), and the staff seemed to genuinely know the neighborhood. When I asked about dinner spots, the guy at the desk didn’t just point me toward tourist traps – he recommended this little kafana around the corner where I ended up having one of the best meals of my trip.
The studio itself was compact but thoughtfully laid out. Everything you’d expect from a 4-star without the pretentious touches that make you afraid to actually use anything. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom had decent water pressure (always a gamble in Belgrade’s older buildings), and honestly, the whole space felt like someone had actually stayed there themselves when designing it. Noise wasn’t an issue, even though you’re right in the center – the windows are solid, and the street doesn’t get crazy loud at night. Well, except during football season, but that’s just Belgrade for you. The 8.5 rating makes sense once you’re there; it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it delivers on what matters. You’ve got reliable WiFi, decent coffee setup, and you’re walking distance from everything worth seeing – Kalemegdan fortress is maybe ten minutes away, the bohemian quarter of Skadarlija is even closer. Plus, if you’re into the whole Digital Nomad thing (which I suspect is part of their angle with the name), the internet speeds were actually impressive, and there are co-working spaces nearby if you need to spread out. It’s one of those places where you realize the owners probably travel themselves – they’ve thought about the small stuff that chain hotels miss.

What Our Guests Say
Nice location , balcony - must be good in summer.
What could be improved: The bed on the second floor is positioned near a vent that occasionally makes noise. I had trouble falling asleep because I was worried that mice might come out of it. Of course, that didn’t happen, but having a vent pipe so close to the bed wasn’t reassuring feature.
Sve je bilo odlično, domaćin ljubazan, lokacija perfektna. Sve preporuke.
Very good location, lift is available to the 5th floor, the appartment on the 6th floor.
Fantastic view from the balcony. South facing balcony. Balcony is big enough for 4 people to sit around.
Great host, provided us wuth an extra bed because my husband couldn't get into the elevated bed.
What could be improved: A fan in the toilet wasn't working
What could be improved: there was no trash can in the apartment
