What I love about this spot is that you get all the benefits of being central, but the street itself (Braće Baruh) is quiet enough that you’re not dealing with constant noise.

The Space

This apartment really shines when it comes to layout and comfort. The 90 square meters are well thought out — there’s actual separation between the living and sleeping areas, which you don’t always get in city apartments. The kitchen is properly equipped too, not just some token mini-fridge situation, so you can actually cook if you want to save money or just prefer eating in sometimes. I particularly appreciated having enough counter space to spread out groceries from the local markets, and the windows let in plenty of natural light throughout the day.

Getting Around

You know what’s great about staying here? You don’t really need to figure out public transport for most things because so much is walkable. Knez Mihailova, Belgrade’s main pedestrian street, is maybe a fifteen-minute walk, and that connects you to pretty much everything else you’d want to see. If you do need to get somewhere further out, there are tram and bus stops nearby, but honestly, I found myself walking most places just because the neighborhood is so pleasant to wander through. The cobblestone streets and old architecture make even mundane errands feel like sightseeing.
