You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from an apartment listing in Belgrade’s old town, but this Dorcol-Manhattan place on Braće Baruh actually surprised me. First thing you notice walking up is how quiet this little street is – I mean, you’re literally a few minutes from Skadarlija’s tourist chaos, but somehow it feels like you’ve found this hidden pocket where locals actually live. The building itself has that solid, pre-war Belgrade character (you’ll know what I mean when you see those thick walls), and honestly, the 90 square meters feels even bigger once you’re inside.
The apartment itself is pretty thoughtfully set up – whoever designed this actually gets how people travel. There’s proper counter space in the kitchen, which sounds boring but trust me, after a week of hotel mini-fridges you’ll appreciate being able to spread out your farmer’s market haul from Zeleni Venac. The living area flows nicely, and I loved that you can actually open the windows wide and get that cross-breeze going in summer. Small thing, but the shower has decent pressure, which… well, if you’ve stayed in older Belgrade buildings, you know this isn’t always guaranteed. The neighborhood is where this place really shines though – Dorcol has this perfect mix of old-school Belgrade charm and new energy. You’ve got Gospodar Jovanova just around the corner with its galleries and cafes, plus you can walk to Kalemegdan in about ten minutes without breaking a sweat.
What I really appreciated was how the host handled everything – smooth check-in, actually useful local recommendations (not just the obvious tourist spots), and they were upfront about street parking, which can be a bit of a puzzle in this area. The 8.3 rating makes sense to me; it’s solidly good without being flashy. Is it perfect? Well, the street can get a bit lively on weekend nights – nothing crazy, just people heading to and from the riverside clubs – but honestly, that’s part of staying in a real neighborhood rather than some sterile hotel district. If you’re the type who wants to experience Belgrade like someone who actually lives here, rather than just hitting the main tourist checklist, this spot delivers. Plus, having 90 square meters means you can actually unpack and settle in, maybe even cook a proper meal with ingredients from the market. For the price point and location, it’s a solid choice – especially if you’re planning to explore beyond just the fortress and the main pedestrian zone.

La propreté très approximative le salle de bain assez sal et qui se décompose. La literie très dur et les couettes par adéquat

What could be improved: Binanın en üst katında ve binada asansör yok. Çok merdiven çıkılıyor ve yorucu. Bir de asma kat olarak yapılmış sanırım. Evde birisi yürüdüğünde komple sallanıyor. İki ayrı banyo gibi görünüyor ama bir oda içinde bir duşakabin , bir tuvalet ve bir küvet var. Kahve makinesi arızalıydı sanırım ısıtmıyordu.

Perfect gelegen met een erg goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. De bedden waren goed, en het appartement is ruim genoeg.

We were a group of six (three couples) and really enjoyed our stay, even though we spent most of our time out during the day.
The apartment was cozy, very clean and exceptionally warm, thanks to its central heating. The bed was also incredibly comfortable.
