You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Natura Apartment on Hajduk Veljkova – I mean, Surčin isn’t exactly where most tourists end up when they think Belgrade. But honestly, that’s exactly what made this place so refreshing. It’s this perfectly quiet residential street where you can actually hear birds in the morning instead of traffic, and the apartment itself feels like staying at your well-traveled friend’s place rather than some sterile hotel room.
The thing about this spot is that it’s genuinely local without trying too hard to be authentic, if that makes sense. The owners clearly put thought into the details – there’s proper blackout curtains (thank god, because Serbian summer mornings start early), the kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to cook, and the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes like half the places I’ve stayed in the Balkans. What really got me was how quiet it stays even though you’re only about 15 minutes from the airport – I was worried about plane noise, but the soundproofing is surprisingly solid. The whole building has this calm, residential vibe where neighbors say hello in the hallway, which you definitely don’t get in the city center chaos.
Here’s the thing about staying in Surčin that nobody tells you – you’re perfectly positioned if you want to experience Belgrade like someone who actually lives there. Sure, you’ll need to take a bus or taxi to get to Skadarlija or the fortress (maybe 20-30 minutes depending on traffic), but there’s something refreshing about coming back to this peaceful pocket after dealing with the intensity of downtown Belgrade. Plus, there’s a decent little market just a few streets over where you can grab fresh produce and local cheese without paying tourist prices. The apartment’s rating of 9.5 honestly doesn’t surprise me – it’s one of those places where every small thing just works the way it should, from the shower pressure to having enough outlets near the bed. I’d definitely book it again, especially if I had an early flight or just wanted to experience a quieter side of the city.

Although the taxi driver scammed me, the house owner choose to remain silent
This is a very cozy apartment. It is warm and dry here, which was important for us, there are all the necessary appliances, it is clean, fresh bed linen. There is a transfer service, a polite driver met us and took us straight to the place. We stayed here because this place is close to the airport, it was convenient to wait for our flight. I did not regret it at all, it is worth the money.

Close to the airport, very quite area. Sasa is very nive and helpful, providing perfect airport transfer services.

Convenient location if you want to stay near the airport. It was easy to find and host was always reachable by whatsapp. The studio was good size for our family of three. There is a nice garden in-front of the property and you can park inside the gate.
Recommended if you want a stopover near the airport.
What could be improved: Not much food option around if you reach after 10. It's not near the touristy places but very near to the airport.

Very nice apartment with everything you need. Comfortable bed and pillows, well equipped kitchen. The bus 72 that goes to the airport stops just outside the apartment. Our host Jelena was very nice and she let is stay even beyond our check out time because we needed some rest after a long journey. We will definitely rent it again if we happen to be in Belgrade.
