The address might just say “19 Studentski trg,” but you’re literally steps away from the buzzing heart of Stari Grad, and I mean that in the best possible way. You know what’s great about this location? You can stumble out the door and be at some of Belgrade’s best kafanas in about two minutes, but somehow Maya’s managed to snag a spot that doesn’t get the late-night noise you’d expect. I think it has something to do with how the building sits back just slightly from the main pedestrian flow.
What really struck me about this place is how Maya (and honestly, I’m not sure if that’s the owner’s actual name or just what everyone calls her) has managed to nail that sweet spot between local authenticity and actually having everything work properly. The apartment itself feels like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place – there’s this lived-in comfort without any of the usual quirks that make you wonder if the hot water will last through your shower. The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’re there; it’s those little details that add up, like actually good coffee in the kitchen and WiFi that doesn’t cut out every time someone in the building turns on their microwave. I mean, you’d be surprised how rare that combination is in Belgrade’s older buildings.
The location thing is where Maya’s really shines, though – and I don’t just mean it’s “convenient” or whatever. You’re basically positioned where locals actually hang out, not in some tourist bubble. Walk five minutes toward the Danube and you hit Kalemegdan Park, but honestly, some of my best discoveries happened just wandering the immediate neighborhood. There’s this tiny bakery around the corner that opens ridiculously early (perfect if you’re still adjusting to the time zone), and the guy who runs it started recognizing me after day two. That’s the kind of neighborhood feel you get here. Plus, if you’re planning day trips or need to catch transport, you’re well-positioned without being stuck right on top of the main tourist drag where everything costs twice as much. The whole setup just works – it’s got that four-star polish without feeling sterile, and staying here actually made me feel like I was experiencing Belgrade rather than just visiting it.

The location is ultra central, very close to the city center. Parking is an excellent bonus. The apartment is very beautiful, clean, large rooms, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The communication with the host was very good. Everything was beyond expectations. I recommend it!

Very spacious and bright apartment, free car park, the house is clean and comfortable，well equipped with furnitures and high quality household electrical appliances. Very good location where you could easily get to the Main Street and the fortress, bus station is just nearby. It was so nice to meet Maya, the house owner, a very beautiful nice lady. We had a very comfortable accommodation experience here.
What could be improved: Everything’s good
The apartment was very clean and near to the center. You can walk and in a small distance there are shops, super markets, a shopping center etc. You can park in the back yard of the building too. The apartment was full equipped and modern. I would definitely suggest it.

From the moment we arrived, our experience at the apartment in Belgrade was nothing short of fantastic. Nestled in the bustling center of the city, the location could not have been better. We were steps away from Belgrade’s vibrant cafes, top-rated restaurants, and the historic Kalemegdan Fortress, which offers panoramic views of the confluence of the River Sava and Danube.
The apartment itself was a dream. It combined modern amenities with touches of local charm. The interior was tastefully decorated with contemporary furniture and had all the comforts of home, including a fully equipped kitchen, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a cozy living area perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
The host was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. They provided us with insider tips for navigating the city and recommendations for must-visit spots that only locals know about.
Cleanliness was impeccable.
Overall, this apartment was an excellent choice for our stay in Belgrade. It provided a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and local flair. We left with great memories and look forward to returning on our next visit to this vibrant city!
