You know what struck me first about MinuteToRiver? The name actually makes sense – and I mean that as a compliment because half these Belgrade apartment names are complete nonsense. From 50 Sarajevska, you’re literally a two-minute walk to the Sava riverbank, which honestly became my favorite part of staying here. The building itself sits in this sweet spot in Savski Venac where you get that proper Belgrade neighborhood feel without being stuck way out in the suburbs. I’d walk down to the river every morning with coffee from the little place around the corner (there’s this older guy who makes phenomenal Turkish coffee, by the way) and just watch the city wake up across the water.
The apartment itself punches way above what you’d expect for the price point. I mean, it’s got that 4-star rating and somehow manages to feel more polished than some of the big chain hotels I’ve crashed in around Belgrade. The space is actually thoughtfully laid out – not just thrown together like so many of these converted apartments. Good water pressure in the shower, which… look, if you’ve spent time in older Belgrade buildings, you know that’s not guaranteed. The WiFi works properly throughout, and there’s this little balcony situation where you can sit with a rakija in the evening and people-watch on Sarajevska. Parking was surprisingly manageable too, though I’d still recommend asking them about it when you book because Belgrade parking can be, well, an adventure.
What really sold me on this place was how it sits right in the middle of everything without feeling touristy. You’re close enough to walk to Knez Mihailova when you want that busy pedestrian zone energy, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with all the noise and crowds when you just want to exist. The Sava promenade has become this amazing spot for evening walks – locals treating it like their backyard, kids on bikes, old-timers playing chess. And honestly, being right there means you can easily hop over to New Belgrade or catch one of those river boats during summer. The whole area has this lived-in authenticity that makes you feel less like a tourist passing through and more like someone who actually knows Belgrade a bit. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay because leaving feels premature.

We had a great stay! The location is absolutely excellent—close to everything we needed, with easy access to local attractions and amenities. The apartment itself was very spacious and comfortable, offering plenty of room to relax. Facilities were convenient and made our stay even more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend and book again!

Nice apartment, great communications, a quick 20 minute walk from the main train station, 25 minute walk into the centre of Belgrade. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

The host was very kind, also the apartment was confortable and affortable. The location was good, next to bus stations, which go to main square in Belgrade.
Great location, big apartment with a very friendly host. A couple minutes form the shops and the river. Having AC was a real boost too.

The place is located about 50 mins by foot (walk with kids) from the fortress or 10 min by bus (line 41 runs 1 block away from the building). The Sava promenade is reachable within a 10 mins walk from the property: restaurants/food truck, playgrounds, cycling lane, coffee shops, beautiful view of the city (day and night), etc is available along the way.
The parking lot recommended by the host is 2 mins by foot from the building. In the same place you can find a Maxi shop in case you want/need some groceries for your stay.
Around the building there are restaurants, small markets (IDEA for example), bakeries, different shops, kiosks.
The apartment is spacious and well equipped. The only thing I would add is a night lamp to the main bedroom.
