Savski Venac is one of those areas that feels authentically Belgrade – you’ll hear church bells mixing with tram sounds, and there’s this great little bakery around the corner where locals grab their morning coffee. I found myself hanging out there most mornings, practicing my terrible Serbian with the staff. Parking can be a bit tricky in this area (like most of central Belgrade), but the hosts actually gave me solid advice about where to find spots, which saved me a lot of headache.
