The kitchen was surprisingly well-equipped too, not just the usual mini-fridge situation. I actually cooked a proper meal using ingredients from the green market on Bajlonijeva (about a seven-minute walk), and everything I needed was there, down to a decent knife and cutting board. The WiFi was solid throughout, which matters when you’re trying to work from a different time zone, and the heating worked perfectly during my November stay – Belgrade gets properly cold, and some places just don’t seem to get that.

What really won me over was how the place sits in the neighborhood. You’re tucked away from the main tourist drag around Knez Mihailova, but it’s still an easy fifteen-minute walk to get there when you want to. The real magic happens when you explore the immediate area – there’s this fantastic little bakery called Hleb & Kifle just two blocks down where locals grab their morning burek, and the elderly gentleman who runs it speaks perfect English and will tell you exactly which filling is best that day. Parking can be tricky (street parking only, and you’ll need to pay attention to the zone signs), but the host sent clear instructions beforehand and even called to make sure I found a spot. I’ve stayed at places with much lower ratings that felt more impersonal, so that 9.8 rating actually makes sense – it’s the kind of place where small touches like good water pressure, blackout curtains that actually work, and a proper mirror in the bathroom add up to something that just feels right. If you’re looking for a pool or concierge service, this isn’t your spot, but if you want to live like a local in one of Belgrade’s most authentic neighborhoods while still having modern comfort, honestly, I can’t think of anywhere better.
