Hotel Forever

You know what's funny about Hotel Forever?

You know what’s funny about Hotel Forever? The name sounds like some generic chain hotel, but it’s actually got this really solid, dependable vibe that grows on you. I mean, it sits right there on Maršala Birjuzova in Stari Grad – and if you know Belgrade at all, you’ll appreciate that this puts you smack in the heart of the old town without being stuck on one of those tourist-trap streets where you can’t find a decent meal after 9 PM.

The thing is, this is a proper 4-star place that doesn’t try too hard to impress you with flashy lobbies or over-the-top anything. Walking in, you get that sense of “okay, these people know what they’re doing” – the kind of place where the staff actually remembers your name by day two, and the rooms are set up by someone who’s clearly stayed in hotels themselves. The building’s got some character to it (you can tell it’s been around), but honestly, that works in its favor because you’re not paying for brand-new construction costs, just solid comfort. The 7.4 rating makes sense when you experience it – it’s not trying to be the flashiest spot in Belgrade, but it delivers on the basics really well.

What I really appreciated was how the location works for different types of trips. If you’re here for business, you’re close enough to the center that you’re not spending half your day in traffic or trying to figure out public transport. But if you’re just exploring Belgrade – which, let’s be honest, is probably why you’re here – you can walk to Knez Mihailova in about ten minutes, and you’re even closer to some of those smaller streets where locals actually hang out. There’s this little bakery two blocks down that opens ridiculously early, and I swear half the neighborhood stops by for their morning coffee ritual. The area gets pretty quiet at night too, which is perfect because Belgrade can be intense if you’re not used to Balkan nightlife energy. Parking’s not terrible either, though like anywhere in Stari Grad, you’ll want to ask the front desk about the best spots – they know which streets turn into loading zones during the day and which ones are safe bets. Actually, the front desk staff impressed me most about this place. They’re not just polite, they’re genuinely helpful in that way where you can tell they actually live in the city and want you to have a good time.

Nice, central location and welcoming staff. A big parking lot just 3 minutes away.

What could be improved: Small room, right under the roof, not for tall people. Small bathroom in a bad condition.

Good location, near the city center, several minutes walk to Cara Mihaila Bulevar and the same to Zeleni Venac market place. There was no breakfast offered onsite.

What could be improved: Need to be careful when walking across the room because of the low ceiling. Smell of plumbing now and then with the toilet doors closed tightly.

Location is great.

What could be improved: There is no option to have a hotel breakfast or any small cooking area. Even there is a zone at the 1st floor where it could be organised.

Location is great

What could be improved: Our room was different from the pictures and the bathroom smells because the building is old. Rooms are not cleaned every day and when you wanted to change rooms, they asked us to carry the pillows and quilts ourselves, it was strange.

Rooms are o.k. but reception staff cannot speak proper English and Service to be improve. Even their is no Signboard for the hotel. Sometimes to find a Staff or Receptionist you have to wait 10/15 minutes & complex is under Construction.

What could be improved: Not enough Facilities

The location is perfect and the room was clean

What could be improved: There was no common area, while the photos showed it. While it advertised breakfast for an additional charge, it was not offered. The room is not functional and the toilet was very small.
