The owner's communication was very good. The apartment was exactly the same as in the pictures. It was very clean. The location was very central and very close to places to visit and eat and drink. When I come again, I will stay here again. Even though we left early, they made an effort to give us the apartment as soon as possible and they did. We were very pleased.

First Impressions
Walking up to City life on Maršala Birjuzova, you immediately get that feeling you’ve stumbled onto something special. The building sits right in Stari Grad — and I mean right in the thick of things — where the cobblestone streets practically hum with Belgrade‘s energy. It’s one of those places where you can tell the owners actually care about creating something authentic rather than just another cookie-cutter accommodation. The entrance has this understated charm that doesn’t scream for attention, which honestly makes it feel more like you’re staying at a friend’s well-appointed place than some impersonal hotel.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about this spot — couples absolutely rave about it, and after spending time here, I totally get why they rate it 9.9 for romantic getaways. You’re literally in Belgrade’s beating heart, where centuries-old architecture meets buzzing cafes and those legendary Serbian restaurants everyone talks about. Step outside and you can wander to Kalemegdan Fortress in one direction or dive into the bohemian quarter of Skadarlija in another. The pedestrian zone of Knez Mihailova is practically at your doorstep, which means you’ll be doing that classic Belgrade evening stroll (you know, the one where you end up discovering three new favorite spots) without any planning whatsoever.
The Space & Atmosphere
What strikes me most about City life is how it manages to feel both intimate and sophisticated without trying too hard. The interiors have this refined European sensibility — think clean lines mixed with just enough character to remind you you’re in the Balkans. Everything feels thoughtfully chosen rather than mass-produced, from the lighting that actually creates ambiance to furniture that’s clearly meant for real comfort. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself lingering over morning coffee because the space just invites you to slow down a bit.
The Belgrade Experience
Staying here puts you right where Belgrade’s magic happens. You’ll hear the city waking up from your windows — church bells mixing with the gentle clatter of early morning deliveries and the distant sound of the Danube. The neighborhood has this perfect mix of locals going about their daily business and visitors discovering the city, so you never feel like you’re stuck in some tourist bubble. I mean, you can grab fresh burek from a corner bakery for breakfast, then find yourself at a rooftop bar watching the sunset over the confluence of two rivers by evening — all within walking distance.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.5 rating isn’t just numbers on a screen — it reflects how this place gets the details right. The location score of 9.9 tells the real story: you’re positioned perfectly to experience Belgrade like someone who actually lives here, not just passing through. Whether you’re planning romantic dinners in hidden restaurants, exploring the fortress at golden hour, or diving into Belgrade’s famous nightlife, everything feels effortless from this base. City life delivers that rare combination of being right in the action while still offering a peaceful retreat when you need it.
Belgrade hotels keep nightlife lovers close to floating river clubs, Ada Ciganlija bike paths, and craft markets under Branko’s bridge.

What could be improved: Everything
Amazing apartment, exceptionally clean, comfortable bed, great location, the host is polite, easy check in.
What could be improved: The TV didn't work, even though everything seemed to be connected. Since the apartment is like a tiny house on the ground floor, the floors are really cold in the winter.
Great modern apartments at great location. Super responsive host. Highly recommended! Thank you!
