Well, this one delivered – and then some. The 9.9 rating isn’t just hype, honestly. When you walk up to number 43a, it’s this charming old building that screams authentic Belgrade, not some sterile hotel chain nonsense. The entrance is well-maintained (which, let’s be real, isn’t always a given in Stari Grad), and apartment number 1 feels like you’re staying at a friend’s place who happens to have impeccable taste.
What really got me was the location – I mean, Dorcol is having this incredible moment right now. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Skadarlija, where you can hear the Roma music spilling out of kafanas until late (fair warning if you’re a light sleeper, but honestly, it adds to the atmosphere). In the morning, I’d grab coffee from this tiny place around the corner that locals actually use – none of that tourist trap stuff. The Danube is practically on your doorstep, and if you’re into the whole fortress scene, Kalemegdan is an easy stroll away. But here’s the thing nobody tells you: this neighborhood gets quiet around 10 PM on weekdays, so you can actually sleep, unlike some parts of the old town where the party never stops.
The apartment itself feels more like a boutique experience than typical Belgrade accommodation. Everything’s been thoughtfully done – the kitchen actually has proper appliances (revolutionary concept, I know), and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showers that makes you not want to leave. There’s this attention to detail that you notice gradually… good lighting, decent Wi-Fi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes, blackout curtains that actually block light. Small things, but they add up when you’re trying to recover from a night exploring Belgrade’s legendary nightlife. The host clearly gets what travelers need – there were even local recommendations waiting for me, written by someone who obviously knows the city inside and out. Parking can be a bit tricky in this area (it’s old Belgrade, what do you expect?), but they sorted that out for me too. Honestly, for the price point and that location, you’re getting way more than you’d expect from most four-star places in the city center.

The apartment is very well located, full of everything you could need in your stay. The host is super kind and help us in everything. Super recomendable
What could be improved: The only thing a little uncomfortable is that the main bathroom is inside one of the bedrooms and if you are in the other room you can't have access to the shower without disturbing and entering in the other bedroom.

What could be improved: Since it is a central location, don't expect it to be noise free. But nothing out of the ordinary.

Из мелочей могу отметить лишь то, что вода в душевой кабине уходит очень медленно, что может привести к выливанию воды на пол.
Spacious and very clean apartment. Also, very comfortable beds. Its located right in the center so everything is close. There is an exchange office accross the street, it’s close to different parking lots, restorants and bakeries. The hosts are super nice and helped us with everything. Everything about our experience was perfect. We highly recommend this stay!
