Good food.
What could be improved: Parking lot is a little bit hard to enter because of the narrow street and narrow entrance.

Marquise Hotel Garni
You know what caught me off guard about the Marquise Hotel Garni?
You know what caught me off guard about the Marquise Hotel Garni? It’s tucked away on this quiet little street in Vračar, and honestly, I almost walked past it the first time. Mišarska isn’t one of those main drags tourists usually end up on, but that’s actually part of its charm. The building itself has this understated elegance – not flashy, just solid and well-maintained in that European way where you can tell someone actually cares about the details. When I checked in, the lobby felt more like stepping into someone’s well-appointed home than a typical hotel, which I mean, sets the tone for the whole experience.
What really won me over was how the staff seemed to genuinely know Belgrade, not just the tourist checklist stuff. The guy at reception – I think his name was Marko – told me about this bakery around the corner that opens at 6 AM, and honestly, their burek became my daily ritual. You’re maybe a ten-minute walk from Svetogorska Street where all the cafes are, but far enough away that you don’t hear the late-night crowd stumbling home. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star place – clean, comfortable beds, decent WiFi that actually works (tested it extensively), and these heavy curtains that block out the morning light if you’re trying to sleep off jet lag. The bathrooms are smaller than American hotel standards, but everything works properly, and the water pressure is surprisingly good for this part of the city.
Here’s the thing though – Vračar is one of those neighborhoods where locals actually live, so you get a real feel for Belgrade life. There’s a small market on Njegoševa Street where vendors know their regulars, and the whole area has this lived-in quality that feels authentic. Parking can be tricky (street parking mostly, and you’ll want to ask about the zones), but if you’re planning to walk and use public transport, the location works really well. I walked to Kalemegdan Fortress a few times – took about 20 minutes through some lovely tree-lined streets. The 8.5 rating makes sense to me; it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but everything they do, they do well. Staff responds quickly when you need something, rooms stay consistently clean, and there’s this quiet efficiency that makes you feel like you can actually relax. If you’re looking for a rooftop bar or a spa, this isn’t your place, but if you want a reliable base for exploring Belgrade without the tourist hotel markup, the Marquise delivers exactly what it promises.

What Our Guests Say
Staff was nice, room was totally clean.
What could be improved: The parking lot is hell narrow, requires skill of truck driver. Couple of more issues: They remote control the ac, you dont have command if you dont go to front desk and convey your wish. The phone on the room was not working.
What could be improved: Parking is very challenging.
location is excellent as well as breakfast
the bed is comfortable and reception guys are great and supportive
Great location, quiet and comfortable. All the staff very helpful and considerate. They have parking if your cars not too big!
Very nice accommodation and close to all transportations
Location, confort and kindness
Really clean and comfortable place, on a great location. We have spent only one night here but it was really good. The only thing that was a bit problematic was the entrance in the garage which is really small so we have damaged our car while entering it. Maybe they should give a notification or some information about it for future guests. Overall nice experience and has our recommendations!
Very nice reception, clean and comfortable room with all necessary things provided. Great location, nice restaurants are couple steps away from here, likewise the public transport stations.
