I mean, you’re sleeping where locals actually live, not in some sterile hotel district. The building itself has that authentic Belgrade character – you know, the kind of pre-war architecture that survived everything this city’s been through. There’s something really cool about staying in apartment 18 and feeling like you’re actually living in Belgrade for a few days, not just visiting it. The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’re there – the attention to detail is honestly impressive for what could’ve easily been just another Airbnb conversion.

What really got me was how quiet it is at night, despite being so central. Cetinjska isn’t one of those main drags with trams rattling by at all hours, so you actually sleep well. The hosts clearly put thought into the soundproofing too. During the day, you’ve got this perfect base for exploring – Kalemegdan Fortress is maybe a ten-minute walk, and if you’re into the nightlife scene, you’re close enough to the floating river clubs (splavovi) that you won’t need expensive taxi rides back. I actually loved the morning routine of grabbing coffee at one of the local kafanas nearby – there’s this spot just down the street where you’ll be the only tourist, guaranteed. The apartment itself feels more like staying with a design-conscious friend than a typical hotel room. Sure, it’s not a massive space with a lobby and concierge, but that’s kind of the point. You get modern amenities in this perfectly located residential setting, plus the kind of personal touches that make you feel like someone actually cares about your stay. If you’re the type who wants to experience Belgrade like you live there – walking to the market, chatting with neighbors in the elevator, discovering hole-in-the-wall restaurants – this beats any big hotel hands down.
