You know what caught me off guard about Apartment Sovre? I was expecting just another Belgrade rental, but this place actually feels like someone’s well-loved home that they happen to share with travelers. It’s tucked right on Cetinjska in Stari Grad – and I mean *right* in the heart of things, where you can hear the city humming but it’s not banging pots and pans outside your window at 2 AM.
The building itself has that solid, pre-war Belgrade character – thick walls that actually keep noise out (trust me, I’m a light sleeper). When you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that whoever runs this place gets what travelers need. The apartment is spacious in a way that’s rare for European city centers, with windows that let in proper light and a kitchen where you can actually cook if you want to hit the Zeleni Venac market and grab some local produce. I honestly spent more time than expected just sitting by the window with coffee, watching Belgrade wake up below. The furnishing feels thoughtful too – not that generic IKEA setup you see everywhere, but pieces that someone clearly chose because they’d want to live with them.
What really won me over though is the location intelligence. You’re a five-minute walk from Knez Mihailova, but you’re not paying tourist-trap prices for everything or dealing with the crowds the moment you step outside. There’s this great little bakery basically around the corner that locals actually go to – I never would have found it if I’d stayed in New Belgrade or somewhere more obvious. And honestly, being in Stari Grad means you can walk to most of the stuff you want to see, but more importantly, you can stumble onto the stuff you didn’t know you wanted to see. The tram connections are solid if you need to get somewhere further out, and I noticed several good restaurants within a few blocks that weren’t trying to fleece tourists.
The 9.5 rating makes sense when you stay here – it’s not trying to be fancy in some generic luxury way, but everything just works properly. Hot water, reliable wifi, comfortable bed, and the kind of cleanliness that feels natural rather than sterile. Check-in was smooth (they actually communicated clearly about timing, which shouldn’t be remarkable but somehow is), and when I had a question about where to find decent wine nearby, I got an actual helpful answer rather than a shrug. I mean, this is the kind of place where you feel like you’re getting Belgrade right rather than just visiting it, if that makes sense.

It was in the heart of the old town, within walking distance of downtown. Excellent restaurants, bakeries, and markets were close by. The host was fantastic and very accommodating as well.
What could be improved: Overall, my stay was quite positive. However, I would like to offer a suggestion for improvement: the balcony could benefit from some cleaning, as it requires some attention.
Very nice room, good shower and the kitchen with coffee was a great plus. Very near to the hustle and bustle. The host was very responsive and accommodating. Overall a pleasant stay for a few nights in Belgrade.

The location was perfect – close to major attractions yet situated in a peaceful area. The property itself was beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The room was spacious and well-equipped. What stood out the most was the warm and friendly service. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved the blend of comfort, convenience, and outstanding hospitality. Location 7 minutes away from the center and practically next to many local bars and restaurants, perfect for entertainment. The apartment nearby is practically right next to the main attractions. Parking is available somewhere on the street, I didn’t check the exact situation. The apartment is clean, with a kitchen included, and everything else is excellent.
Our host was very friendly, polite and helpful. The apartment had everything we needed and was at perfect location. Walking distance to most attractions. Utilities and supplies were properly working and plenty. Apartment was warm and comfortable. Having English TV channels was an unexpected plus. All round very good experience. Recommend to everyone with no hesitation. Special thanks!

Lovely apartment, has everything you need when you travel. Location is exceptional, breakfast was awesome! The host was very friendly and helpful, response time was very quick 👍
What could be improved: Only very minor detail, overall my stay was awesome. It's located in the very center, and sometimes it's a bit noisy outside (noise from restaurants and bars), even though the apartment is on the 5th floor. But closed windows mostly solve the problem, not a big deal!
Really nice apartment and cosy . Close to everything the place is a really excellent choice. Breakfast was also perfect! A must stay!
