I stayed during autumn when the city has this particular light that makes everything look golden, and from the apartment windows you get these glimpses of red tile roofs and church spires that remind you you’re somewhere with actual history. The 9.2 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be a luxury hotel with marble lobbies and doormen, but for what it is (comfortable, well-located apartments where you can settle in for a few days), it delivers exactly what you’d want.
