The name is pretty minimalist (and yeah, they actually do have 89 rooms), but once you step inside, you realize there’s something deliberately understated about the whole place. It’s tucked into this quieter part of Vračar, which honestly is one of Belgrade’s best-kept secrets if you want to stay somewhere that feels authentically local without being too far from everything.
What struck me most was how the staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood – I mean really know it, not just the usual tourist script. When I asked about grabbing coffee, they didn’t just point me toward the nearest chain but mentioned this little place around the corner where locals go for their morning ritual. The rooms themselves are clean and modern without trying too hard to impress, which I appreciated. My room faced the street, and while Šumatovačka isn’t exactly a major thoroughfare, you’ll hear some traffic during the day – nothing terrible, but pack earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. The beds are actually comfortable though, which is more than I can say for some fancier places I’ve stayed.
You know what I really liked? The whole area feels like real Belgrade. You’re walking distance from some genuinely good restaurants that don’t have English menus plastered outside, and there’s this authentic residential vibe where you’ll see families doing their shopping and old guys playing chess in the small parks. It’s about a 15-minute walk to get to the more touristy parts of the city center – close enough that you won’t be taking taxis everywhere, but far enough that you’re not dealing with crowds of tour groups right outside your window. The hotel’s 4-star rating feels about right – it’s not luxury, but everything works properly and the service is genuinely helpful rather than just polite. Parking can be a bit tricky on the street, but they’ll sort something out for you if you ask. I’d definitely come back, especially since the 8.2 rating actually reflects what you get – no nasty surprises, just solid, comfortable accommodation in a part of Belgrade that gives you a real feel for how the city actually lives and breathes.

The location is very good, its pretty close to the center, but also offers restaurants and bars close to the property itself. The apartment is very clean and the owners are very friendly and here to help at anytime! Overall great stay
Domaćini su bili komunikativni i laki za dogovor. Iako druga klima nije radila, kao ni zamenska grejalica, ubrzo su dostavili drugu ispravnu grejalicu.
What could be improved: Kreveti su okej, ali ne baš udobni. Nije bilo rešoa, kašičica, tiganja i šerpi. Zid u jednoj sobi i na još nekim mestima je bio isprskan, neočišćen, verovatno od prethodnih gostiju za vreme dočeka Nove godine.
Apartman je udoban, čist i na fantastičnoj lokaciji.
Domacini su se pobrinuli o svakom detalju, od izuzetnog gostoprimstva do mogucnosti koriscenja Netflix-a.
Sjajan odnos cene i kvaliteta.
Firstly I have to say that the bed was extremely comfortable!! Other than that, everything else was nice, nice host, around 5-8 min drive to the center with a car. Great value for money.
What could be improved: I noticed that the dishes/glasses were not cleaned well, but other than that the apartment was clean

We're checked in and out remotely, but the host was in touch. Nice quiet place in a very good location for it's price, apartment has a good space, bathroom is clean, new fridge in the kitchen. Clean sheets, towels for all were available.
What could be improved: Please, buy a small induction stove for making coffee in the morning 😏
