Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Belgrade apartments, and Top Spot on Kraljice Natalije really lives up to its name – though honestly, when I first saw the address, I wasn’t expecting much. This stretch of the street is sort of in between neighborhoods, you know? But that actually turns out to be its secret weapon. You’re literally a ten-minute walk from Skadarlija (Belgrade’s bohemian quarter where all the cobblestones and traditional restaurants are), but without the tourist chaos and late-night accordion music keeping you awake.

The apartment itself surprised me – it’s got this clean, modern vibe that feels more like a friend’s well-decorated place than a rental. I mean, the 9.4 rating makes sense once you’re inside. The beds are actually comfortable (not those rock-hard European mattresses you sometimes get), and whoever designed the kitchen knew what they were doing. There’s proper counter space and real coffee cups, not those tiny hotel ones. What really got me though was how quiet it is at night, despite being on a main street. The windows must be decent quality because I barely heard the trams that run along nearby routes. Oh, and parking – this is Belgrade, so street parking can be a nightmare in some areas, but this location is pretty manageable if you’re driving.

Here’s what sealed it for me: the neighborhood feels authentically Belgrade without being touristy. There’s a great little bakery about two blocks down where locals actually go for their morning burek – I stumbled across it by accident and ended up going back three times. You’re also close enough to walk to Kalemegdan Park when you want that classic fortress-and-Danube experience, but far enough away that you’re not fighting crowds every time you step outside. The 4-star rating feels right – it’s not trying to be some luxury hotel experience, but everything works properly and feels thoughtfully done. I’d definitely book it again, especially if I wanted to feel like I was actually staying in Belgrade rather than just visiting it.
