Walking up to this spot on Kraljice Natalije, I honestly expected another cramped Belgrade rental, but stepping inside – well, it’s actually got this whole spacious, lived-in feel that makes you want to kick off your shoes immediately. The owner clearly knows what travelers need because there’s this perfect balance of homey touches and practical stuff that actually works (I’m looking at you, reliable WiFi and a shower with decent water pressure).
Being right in Stari Grad means you’re literally in the heart of old Belgrade, and I mean that in the best possible way. You can hear the gentle hum of the neighborhood – people chatting from their balconies, the occasional tram rumbling down towards the river – but it’s not that overwhelming city noise that keeps you up at night. What’s brilliant is that you’re maybe a ten-minute walk from Skadarlija, that cobblestone bohemian quarter everyone talks about, and even closer to some of those hidden kafanas where locals actually eat. The apartment sits on a street that feels authentically Belgrade – not touristy, just real neighborhood life happening around you.
Honestly, the 9.5 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed there because it’s those little details that add up. The kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to grab fresh produce from the market (there’s a great one just a few blocks away), the bed is properly comfortable – not just okay for a few nights – and the whole place feels clean without that sterile hotel vibe. I appreciated that check-in was straightforward, no drama about timing or keys, which honestly can make or break your first day in a new city. If you’re the type who likes having a proper base to explore Belgrade from, rather than just a place to crash, this feels like staying at a friend’s place – if your friend had really good taste and knew how to make guests comfortable. The location alone means you can walk to most of the stuff you actually want to see, but you’re also tucked away enough that you get a real sense of what living in this part of Belgrade feels like.

Had a great time in Sarajevo, host was very hospitality and polite. Pretty big apartment and everything u need for living inside. Were surprised to see welcome drinks in refrigerator. Nice view from window to brutal and real Yugoslavian blocks

Apartman presladak, ima sve neophodno, lijep pogled sa terase, čisto i odlična lokacija. Vlasnica je bila jako ljubazna i detaljno je objasnila sve vezano za dolazak. Odlična cijena za ovu lokaciju i ovakav apartman. ❤️ (p.s. sa terase se vidi Zeleni, bukvalno je na 4 minuta hoda)

The host, Ivana, is very kind, friendly and always available for any questions. All praise for Ivana! The apartment is neat, clean and excellently equipped. Neighborhood is quiet, even though the apartment is situated in the city center. :)

After landing at the airport, we took bus number 72 and walked about 7-8 minutes from the Zeleni Venac stop to reach the apartment. The host greeted us at the door, handed over the keys, and showed us around. The elevator goes up to the 5th floor, and you’ll need to walk the last two floors. It wasn’t a problem for us, but if you have large suitcases, it’s something to keep in mind.
The location of the apartment was fantastic—it’s really close to the city center. For shopping, we mostly went to the Idea London market, which is open 24/7 and super convenient. The apartment was very clean, and the sheets and towels smelled fresh. There was also a washing machine and a hairdryer in the bathroom, which came in handy.
The kitchen was well-equipped with everything you might need, including a kettle, coffee and tea supplies, and even a toaster. If you plan to cook, you’ll find plenty of utensils available. When we visited, it was quite cold in Belgrade, but the apartment was warm and cozy, so we were very comfortable. The Wi-Fi was also fast, and we didn’t encounter any issues.
The host was extremely kind and responsive, quickly answering any questions we had. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely choose this place again if we return!

Everything was great. Convenient location, there are many different establishments nearby (cafes, restaurants). The owner of the apartment is very friendly, she met us, told us all the details about the apartment. The apartment is very cozy, there is everything you need (wi-fi, clean bed linen and towels, necessary dishes).
What could be improved: The only downside was that the elevator only goes up to the 5th floor, and the apartment is on the 7th. But this didn’t cause any particular problems, since we had a small amount of things.
