Spacious Loft with one bedroom and a big terrace

Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Belgrade, but this loft on Bulevar Zorana Đinđića actually surprised me. When you first walk in, the space just opens up in front of you – I mean, they weren’t kidding about the “spacious” part. The ceilings are high enough that you don’t feel cramped, and honestly, after spending time in some of those older European hotels where you can touch opposite walls at the same time, this felt like a breath of fresh air.

The real star here though? That terrace. I spent way too many evenings out there with a bottle of local rakija, just watching Novi Beograd come alive below. You’re positioned perfectly to see the city without being right in the thick of tourist central – which, you know what, is actually ideal. The bedroom’s tucked away nicely so you can have people over on the terrace without feeling like you’re all sleeping in the same room. Small thing, but it matters when you’re traveling with friends or trying to work remotely (the wifi’s solid, by the way). The kitchen area is functional enough that I actually cooked a few meals instead of eating out every night – there’s a decent Maxi nearby on the boulevard, maybe a seven-minute walk.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, despite being on a fairly busy street. The building’s well-insulated, I guess, because I’m usually sensitive to traffic noise but slept fine here. Parking was easier than I expected too – there’s street parking that’s not too competitive, and the host gave me the inside scoop on which spots are actually legal (trust me, Belgrade parking can be… tricky). The whole check-in process was smooth, none of that awkward waiting around in lobbies or hunting for key boxes. Getting to the old town takes about fifteen minutes by tram, and you’re close enough to the Danube that morning walks become a thing if you’re into that. I found myself taking that route more often than I planned, actually – there’s something about the river in the early morning that just works. The 4-star rating feels right; it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything functions properly and the space genuinely delivers on comfort. That 8.9 rating makes sense too – it’s the kind of place where small details are handled well without any big drama or standout problems.
