The living room actually fits all your group comfortably, and the kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook (though honestly, with Belgrade’s restaurant scene, why would you?). What really got me was how quiet it is at night. I mean, you’d think being so central would mean street noise, but Lomina is this little pocket of calm. The only sounds are the occasional tram rumbling by on a parallel street – which, by the way, connects you to the rest of the city in minutes.

Here’s what I wish someone had told me before booking: the neighborhood is perfect for morning coffee runs. There’s this little bakery around the corner where you can grab fresh burek for like 100 dinars, and the locals there will actually help you with directions if you’re lost (try that in the touristy areas). Parking can be tricky if you’re driving – it’s all street parking and you’ll need to figure out the zone system, but honestly, you don’t need a car here anyway. The host was pretty responsive when we had questions, though check-in was a bit informal – more like meeting a friend than a hotel reception desk situation. One small thing: the Wi-Fi occasionally hiccupped during our stay, nothing major but worth mentioning if you’re planning to work remotely. The real selling point, though, is that you’re staying where Belgrade actually lives and breathes. Walk ten minutes toward the river and you’ll hit the bohemian Skadarlija district with its cobblestones and traditional restaurants. Walk ten minutes the other way and you’re in the heart of downtown shopping and nightlife.
