150sqm 3BDR Family apartment in central Belgrade
Look, I've stayed in a lot of Belgrade apartments over the years, but this one on Lomina street actually surprised me – and I mean that in the best way possible.
Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of Belgrade apartments over the years, but this one on Lomina street actually surprised me – and I mean that in the best way possible. You know how sometimes these “family apartments” turn out to be cramped afterthoughts? Well, this isn’t that. The moment you walk into this second-floor space, you get why they emphasize the 150 square meters. It’s genuinely spacious without feeling empty, if that makes sense.
What really got me was the location – Lomina 24 puts you right in the heart of Savski Venac, which honestly is one of those spots that locals love but tourists often miss. You’re maybe a seven-minute walk from Knez Mihailova (the main pedestrian zone), but you’re tucked away enough that you won’t hear drunk backpackers at 2 AM. I mean, you’ll catch some city sounds – it’s Belgrade, after all – but nothing that kept me up. The building itself has that solid, old-Belgrade feel without being run-down. Actually, climbing to the second floor reminded me why I appreciate these older constructions; the walls are thick, so you’re not hearing your neighbors’ every conversation.
The three bedrooms work really well for families or groups who want some breathing room. I stayed here with friends during one of those extended weekend trips, and we weren’t stepping on each other constantly like you do in most city rentals. The kitchen is properly equipped too – not just a mini-fridge and hot plate situation. We actually cooked a couple of meals, picked up ingredients from the Zeleni Venac market (which is walkable, by the way), and it felt natural rather than like we were camping indoors. The whole setup just flows well; you can see they put thought into how people actually use these spaces rather than just cramming in furniture to hit a bedroom count.
Here’s what I really appreciated – the host clearly knows their stuff. Check-in was smooth, they had solid recommendations for restaurants that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps, and when I had a question about parking (because let’s be honest, Belgrade parking can be a nightmare), they sorted it quickly. You’re in a residential area, so street parking is actually manageable most times, though I’d avoid trying to arrive on weekend evenings when everyone’s heading out.
The 9.9 rating isn’t inflated marketing nonsense either. I’ve seen enough overhyped places to spot the difference. This apartment delivers on the practical stuff – reliable WiFi, hot water that actually stays hot, decent air conditioning for those brutal Belgrade summers – while still feeling like a place where you’d want to hang out rather than just crash. You know what sealed it for me? Coming back after a long day exploring the city and actually looking forward to settling in with a drink rather than just tolerating the space until checkout.
If you’re planning to spend real time in Belgrade rather than just passing through, and especially if you’re traveling with family or a group, this place makes sense. It’s not trying to be some Instagram-perfect design hotel, but it’s comfortable, well-located, and run by people who understand what travelers actually need.
