Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Belgrade, and honestly? The Sensitive Apartment caught me completely off guard. You know that feeling when you book something online and you’re crossing your fingers it won’t be a disaster? Well, this was the opposite of that. The moment I walked into this place on Senjanina Ive – which, by the way, is this quiet little street in Stari Grad that most tourists never stumble across – I actually said “oh wow” out loud.
The thing about this spot is that it sits right in the heart of old Belgrade, but somehow manages to feel like a secret. I mean, you’re literally walking distance from Kalemegdan Fortress (maybe eight minutes if you’re strolling), but the street itself has that residential calm that’s getting harder and harder to find in the city center. The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish friend designed it – not that sterile hotel room vibe, but not trying-too-hard quirky either. The owners clearly get that travelers want space to breathe and actually live for a few days, not just crash between sightseeing marathons. What really sold me was the attention to details you don’t expect – good water pressure (trust me, this matters), proper blackout curtains, and a kitchen that’s actually equipped for cooking, not just reheating leftovers.
Here’s what I wish someone had told me before I went: the building entrance is a bit understated, so don’t expect some grand hotel lobby situation. But that’s actually part of the charm – you feel like you’re staying in a real Belgrade building, not some tourist bubble. The check-in was smooth, though I’d definitely recommend coordinating arrival times since it’s not a 24/7 front desk setup. Parking can be tricky in Stari Grad generally, but they’ll give you the local intel on where to find spots. And honestly, once you’re settled in, you probably won’t need a car much anyway – everything worth seeing is either walkable or a quick tram ride away. The 9.9 rating seems almost too good to be true until you’re actually there, then it makes perfect sense. It’s one of those places that just works, you know? Excellent Location, easy to get around with a few bus line stations in the near. Easy and safe to walk around. Supermarket and coffee shop and kiosk close by. The famous walking street with restaurants and bars serving traditional Serbia food and international foods are only 10 minutes walk. The Host is very friendly, helpful and informative. I was picked up and dropped off at airport for free. All facilities are available.
What could be improved: The shower is in a bathtub, need to step in for shower. For people with limited mobility could be an issue.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay in my hometown. Vlada the landlord picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, he is great and funny and really nice, and most important he will answer your massages right away! Never felt so safe booking an apartment. Apartment is big, in a great place, clean and comfortable, feels like coming home, you won’t miss a thing. I can really recommend it, cafes, supermarkets, exchange office and pharmacie just around the corner, 15min walk to Knez Mihailova street (city center). Next time I will book this apartment again for sure!

The host Vlad is excellent. Communication fantastic and the absolute crème de La crème is the airport meet and again airport return. The funny stories had us laughing all the way! loved that the apartment was located in old town area. It provided character and a better feel of Belgrade. We appreciated the juxtaposition of the Soviet era building with the modern interior! Don’t be put off on arrival as once you enter past the Soviet facade , together with the associated quirky lift ! it’s all worth it! Spacious and comfortable with everything you need! Plenty towels etc! again with mix of the traditional! There is a lovely spacious balcony! The location is easy walk to Skardjila area and republic square! No more than 15 mins though a bit of an incline ! Loved using the local coffee shop and dining and mixing with the locals. The Sinatra bar was our favourite and after day 1 we felt we were as locals! Friday night saw some live music! We would highly recommend!
What could be improved: The only aspect perhaps that could deter some of limited mobility would be that to shower you need to climb into the bath. it did not bother us as we are still fit and able.
