Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to this place on Hercegovačka – I mean, Belgrade Waterfront is still pretty new and some of the developments feel a bit soulless, you know? But Premium NB actually surprised me. The building itself is one of those sleek glass towers that’s become the signature look for this area, and while it might not have the old-world charm of Stari Grad, there’s something refreshing about the clean lines and modern feel after spending days wandering through Belgrade’s beautifully chaotic older neighborhoods.

What really got me was the view from the 8th floor – and I’m not just talking about the Sava River, though that’s obviously gorgeous, especially around sunset when the water catches all that golden light. You can actually see the construction cranes working on the other waterfront projects, which sounds terrible but honestly feels kind of exciting, like you’re watching the city reinvent itself in real time. The apartment itself is exactly what you’d want after a long day of exploring: everything works (shocking, I know, but you’d be surprised how rare that is), the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the air conditioning actually cools the place down. The kitchen’s properly equipped too – not just a mini-fridge and a prayer, but actual counter space and appliances that look like they were installed this decade.

Here’s the thing about staying in Belgrade Waterfront though – you’re sort of in this bubble that’s very different from the rest of the city. It’s about a 15-minute walk to get to the real action around Knez Mihailova or the bohemian chaos of Skadarlija, but honestly, sometimes that distance is perfect. You can dive into Belgrade’s incredible nightlife (and trust me, you’ll want to) then retreat back to this calm, modern space to actually get some sleep. The area gets pretty quiet after 10 PM, which is either a blessing or a curse depending on what you’re looking for. There’s a decent grocery store right in the complex, and the security is tight without being overbearing – they’ll nod hello but won’t interrogate your guests. Parking was easier than I expected, though I’d still recommend using Belgrade’s surprisingly good public transport or just walking when you can. The whole waterfront area is designed for pedestrians anyway, with these wide promenades that are perfect for morning coffee or evening strolls when the summer heat finally breaks.
