N10 Apartment

You know what struck me first about N10 Apartment? It’s tucked right on Nušićeva street in the heart of Stari Grad, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from the outside – Belgrade’s old town can be a bit hit or miss with accommodations. But stepping inside, I mean, this place actually gets it right. The building has that classic Belgrade character (you know, the kind with thick walls that keep the street noise out), but the apartment itself feels completely modern without trying too hard to be trendy.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Belgrade rather than just visiting it. You’re maybe a three-minute walk from Skadarlija – that cobblestone street everyone talks about – but you’re also close enough to Republic Square that you can stumble back after a night out without calling a taxi. What I really appreciated was how the hosts seemed to understand what travelers actually need. The Wi-Fi works properly (tested it on video calls), there’s decent water pressure, and they’ve got blackout curtains that actually block the morning sun. Small things, but you know how it is when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two.

The whole setup feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in a hotel, which explains that 9.8 rating – people clearly love it here. I stayed during late spring, and the apartment stayed cool without cranking the AC, probably thanks to those old building walls I mentioned. The kitchen is actually functional too, not just decorative like some places, so you can grab groceries from the Maxi market down the street and cook if you want. Belgrade’s restaurant scene is incredible, but sometimes you just want coffee and toast in your pajamas, right? The neighborhood itself comes alive in the evenings – you’ll hear people chatting on the street, maybe some music from the kafanas nearby, but it settles down by midnight. It’s that perfect balance where you feel connected to the city but can still get a good night’s sleep.
