You know what hit me first about the Metropol Lux? It’s tucked away on Molerova Street in a way that feels almost accidental – like you stumbled onto something the guidebooks haven’t totally figured out yet. I mean, Vračar is one of those Belgrade neighborhoods that locals actually live in, not just where tourists wander around taking photos, and this apartment hotel sits right in the sweet spot of it all.
The building itself has that solid, understated Belgrade vibe – nothing flashy from the outside, but once you’re inside, it’s clear someone put real thought into making this work as more than just a place to crash. The apartments are genuinely spacious (and I say that as someone who’s stayed in my share of European “apartments” that turned out to be glorified closets). What really got me was the attention to small stuff – proper coffee setup, decent Wi-Fi that actually works when you need it, and windows that open wide enough to let in those surprisingly cool Belgrade evenings, even in summer. The kitchenettes are functional too, which matters if you’re like me and get tired of eating out every single meal.
Location-wise, you’re maybe a fifteen-minute walk from Slavija Square, but honestly, I found myself hanging around the neighborhood more than expected. There’s this whole stretch of cafes and local spots along nearby streets that feel completely authentic – the kind of places where you’ll hear more Serbian than English, which I loved. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving (welcome to Belgrade, right?), but the public transport connections are solid. I grabbed the bus to Knez Mihailova plenty of times without any hassle. The area gets quiet at night in that residential way – not dead quiet, just… normal people going about their lives quiet. Perfect for actually sleeping, unlike some of the party-heavy zones closer to the old town. What struck me most was how the staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood – they pointed me toward a bakery that became my morning routine and warned me which streets get backed up during rush hour. Small stuff, but it made a difference.

The apartment is very warm, there is everything you might need for a comfortable stay for several days or even weeks. Everything is clean and tidy. The hostess is always in touch and ready to help with any issue.
We booked this accommodation very last minute due to a family bereavement. The hosts Lana and her son were so understanding, helpful & caring to our situation and made our stay so easy. Having stayed in various accommodations in Belgrade over the past 10 years whilst visiting family & friends I can without hesitation say this was the best accommodation we've stayed in. It has all the facilities you could possibly need, everything is spotlessly clean, the best hosts in town and in a great location for exploring Belgrade on foot.
Perfect host and a great apartment
We had a very nice stay at Metropol Lux appartement. The location and appartement it self was perfect for us. It is very clean and well equipped. Nice kitchen. Comfortable bed and sofa. And very nice host. We are thankful for such a pleasant experience we had in Belgrade! By the way, it's kids friendly.
The apartment was excellent. We were four (2 couples) and it was very confortable and there was enough space for everyone. The kitchen couldn't be better. The position is perfect, 30 minutes by foot from the centre and near the tram and bus station. The host is very kind and available to help you with every question about belgrade. Enjoy your stay!!

What could be improved: Nothing to do with the accommodation, more a word of advice, parking is very difficult in Vracar. If you don't need a car, this is the perfect apartment.
