Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Belgrade, and honestly? This apartment on Kumanovska caught me off guard in the best way. I mean, when you see “Lux 2” in the name, you’re sort of expecting someone overselling a basic place – but they actually delivered. The building itself is one of those solid Belgrade structures that’s been properly maintained, and you know what really impressed me? The lobby actually smells clean, not like that musty cigarette smell you sometimes get in older Serbian buildings.

The location is actually brilliant if you know Belgrade at all. Vračar is where locals want to live – it’s got that residential feel but you’re literally walking distance from everything that matters. There’s this little bakery about two blocks down toward Slavija that does these incredible burek portions for breakfast, and honestly, being able to grab fresh bread at 7 AM made the whole stay better. The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home that they care about, not some sterile rental unit. The kitchen has proper coffee cups (not those tiny hotel ones), decent cookware if you want to hit the green market, and the bed… well, let’s just say I slept better than I have in months. They’ve got blackout curtains that actually work, which is clutch because Belgrade summer mornings are bright as hell.

What really sold me though was the little details nobody thinks about. The shower has proper water pressure – and I mean proper, not that dribble you get in half the places around here. The Wi-Fi actually works from every corner of the apartment, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised. And here’s something I really appreciated: they left information about the building’s quiet hours written in both Serbian and English, which shows they get that this is a real neighborhood with real people living here, not just a tourist zone. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the street can get a bit busy during rush hour since it connects to some main routes, but honestly, it’s Belgrade – if you want complete silence, you’re in the wrong city. By 9 PM it’s perfectly quiet though. The whole experience just felt… effortless, I guess? Like staying at a friend’s place who has their life together. That 9.7 rating makes complete sense once you’re actually there – it’s not trying to be fancy, it’s just really, really good at being exactly what it is.
