The address might look intimidating if you’re not familiar with Belgrade, but here’s the thing – you’re actually in the heart of Novi Beograd, which locals just call “New Belgrade.” It’s this fascinating contrast to the old city across the Sava River, all wide boulevards and modern blocks that somehow work together in that distinctly Serbian way.

The building itself has that clean, understated look that doesn’t scream “tourist hotel,” which I actually loved. You know what really struck me? The apartments feel like someone’s well-appointed home rather than a sterile hotel room. The kitchenettes are properly equipped – I mean, you can actually cook a decent meal, not just heat up instant noodles. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms have that satisfying hot water pressure that makes you want to stay in the shower longer than necessary. What really impressed me was the attention to small details – proper blackout curtains that actually block light, decent WiFi that doesn’t cut out during video calls, and enough electrical outlets placed where you’d logically want them.

Location-wise, you’re about a fifteen-minute walk to the Sava riverfront, where locals go for evening strolls and where some of Belgrade’s famous splavovi (floating clubs) are moored. The neighborhood itself is surprisingly quiet for being so central – I barely heard street noise, even with windows open on warmer evenings. There’s a decent grocery store just a few blocks away, and if you’re feeling adventurous, the local kafanas (traditional restaurants) in the area serve food that’s honestly better than what you’ll find in the touristy Skadarlija district. Getting to the old town is straightforward – either a quick taxi ride or a pleasant walk across one of the bridges, depending on your energy level and the weather.

Here’s something I didn’t expect: the staff actually knows the neighborhood. Not just the obvious tourist spots, but where to find good bread in the morning, which pharmacy stays open late, that sort of practical local knowledge that makes a difference when you’re settling in for more than just a night or two. The 9.1 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be flashy or over-the-top luxurious, but everything works well and feels thoughtfully put together. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning to explore Belgrade more like a resident than a tourist rushing between major sights.
