Luxury Spa Suite

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to this place on Старца Вујадина – the street’s pretty quiet and residential, which actually turned out to be perfect. The Luxury Spa Suite sits in this lovely part of Zemun where you can still hear church bells from the old town center, but you’re far enough from the Danube tourist crowds that it feels genuinely peaceful. I mean, a 9.8 rating sounds almost too good to be true, but after spending a few nights here, I get it.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to create this spa-like atmosphere without going overboard with the fancy stuff. The suite itself is spacious – and I’m talking actually spacious, not hotel-brochure spacious – with this gorgeous bathroom that has both a deep soaking tub and a rain shower that actually has decent water pressure (you know how hit-or-miss that can be in Belgrade). The whole place smells faintly of eucalyptus, which sounds cheesy but somehow works perfectly. They’ve got these little touches everywhere… good lighting that doesn’t make you look terrible, outlets in logical places, and – this might sound weird – but the towels are the kind of thick and fluffy that you want to steal (though obviously don’t).

The location is sort of brilliant if you think about it. You’re technically in Zemun, so you get that old-world charm with the cobblestone streets and traditional kafanas just a short walk away, but you can hop on the bus or grab a taxi and be in central Belgrade in maybe 20 minutes. Parking was surprisingly easy too – there’s street parking right outside, and the locals I talked to said it’s generally safe to leave your car overnight. The woman at check-in (super friendly, spoke perfect English) mentioned that most guests either walk down to the riverfront in the evenings or head to Gardoš Tower for sunset, both of which are totally doable on foot.

I’ll be honest, the only tiny thing that bugged me was that the air conditioning unit makes this very soft humming sound – not loud enough to really bother you, but if you’re one of those people who needs complete silence to sleep, you might notice it. That said, the bed was comfortable enough that I still slept like a baby. Oh, and they provide this little welcome basket with local honey and some homemade cookies that were actually delicious, not just decorative. It’s the kind of place where you can tell someone actually cares about the details rather than just checking boxes on a luxury hotel checklist. For a 4-star spot, it honestly feels more elevated than some 5-star places I’ve stayed at in the city center – probably because it’s not trying so hard to impress everyone.
