You know what caught me off guard about Knez apartman? It’s tucked away on Vuka Karadžića street in a way that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something the tour groups haven’t figured out yet. I mean, Stari Grad is obviously the heart of Belgrade’s old town, but this particular corner has this quiet residential vibe that’s honestly refreshing after dealing with the crowds around Skadarlija or Kalemegdan.
The building itself has that solid, pre-war Belgrade character – thick walls that actually keep the noise out (trust me, this matters when you’re staying in the city center). When I first walked up, I was expecting something more hostel-like given the location, but the apartments are genuinely well put together. The owner clearly knows what travelers actually need – proper wifi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes, a kitchen setup that’s more than just for show, and decent water pressure in the shower. Small things, but they add up. The 9.1 rating isn’t just numbers on a screen; you can feel it in details like having actual hangers in the closet and coffee that doesn’t taste like it came from a vending machine.
What really works about this place is how it sits in the neighborhood. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Studentski Park, which locals use as a shortcut but tourists often miss entirely. There’s this little bakery around the corner on Braće Jugovića where you can grab proper burek in the morning – the kind where the phyllo is still crispy and they’re not trying to reinvent it for Instagram. The tram stop is close enough to be useful but far enough that you’re not hearing it all night. And honestly, parking in this part of Belgrade can be a nightmare, but the street usually has spots if you’re not too picky about walking a block or two. The apartment management actually gives decent advice about this stuff, which… well, not every place bothers. It’s that kind of attention that makes the difference between a good stay and one of those experiences where you’re constantly figuring things out on your own.

Location of the apartment is great (main shopping street of Belgrad), everything is reachable by foot. Apartment is very quiet. Lots of restaurants/bars very close
What could be improved: Biggest issue: no coffeemaker. Water pressure in the shower is low. Everything looks a little bit run down (floor has waves and clicking tiles, doors of kitchen cabinet not even, …) no bottled water when we arrived.

Exceptional location, knez mihajlova street is at your doorstep yet the apartment is quiet nested on the top floor. We had an swesome view of the fireworks that were on Belgrade Waterfront. Apartment is spacious enough for 3 people on a short stay. Very easy to reach any place in centre by foot, including Kalemegdan. Also close to Obilicev venac parking (though this is 15 euro per day).
What could be improved: The sheets for the couch in loungeroom were a bit short (1.6m) for an adult of 1.95m height.
The owner was awesome. We had trouble finding it so she took time out of her day to meet us and take us to the location. She even helped us take our bags. The apartment is right in the heart of Belgrade center and was super clean and well decorated. Will definitely book again on my next trip to Serbia.

Nice Apartment in a great location. Walkable to all key sights. Good amenities and spacious.
What could be improved: Staff was rude. Had to wait for an hour for host to open and then several discussions about payment as I was not informed it had to be by cash. Balcony was more of a hallway than balcony as such.
The location is amazing because the apartment is at the heart of the city. Most tourist attractions are by walking distance. Clean and safe place. The owner of the place replied all our questions before and during our stay there quickly and was so helpful.
The location was perfect, right near all of the major attractions. it felt like a home away from home which was wonderful
