Very comfortable room, perfect for a relaxing stay. The central location is ideal for exploring the city on foot. The design is thoughtfully curated, and the mirror in the bathroom is absolutely stunning. The host was extremely helpful and always available, even for tips about the city. Highly recommended!

Maison Danube
Look, I've stayed at a lot of places in Belgrade over the years, but Maison Danube honestly caught me off guard – and I mean that in the best way possible.
Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Belgrade over the years, but Maison Danube honestly caught me off guard – and I mean that in the best way possible. You know how Stari Grad can be hit or miss with accommodations? Well, this little gem on Đure Jakšića street is definitely a hit. The street itself is one of those quiet cobblestone lanes that tourists usually walk right past on their way to Skadarlija, which actually works in your favor because you get that authentic old-town feel without the restaurant crowds getting rowdy until 2 AM.
What really struck me about this place is how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between boutique charm and actual comfort. The building has this beautiful 19th-century facade – you can tell they put serious thought into the restoration rather than just slapping some paint on old walls. Inside, well, it’s clear someone who actually travels designed these rooms because everything just works. The beds are properly firm (thank god), the WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes like half the places in the old town, and honestly, the soundproofing is surprisingly good considering these old buildings usually let you hear every conversation from three floors away. I was there during one of those crazy Serbian wedding weekends when the whole neighborhood turns into a party, and I could barely hear it from my room on the third floor.
The location is what locals call “perfectly positioned” – you’re literally a three-minute walk from Knez Mihailova pedestrian zone, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with street performers practicing their accordion at 7 AM. There’s this great little bakery right around the corner on Gospodar Jevremova where locals grab their morning burek, and you’re close enough to the Danube – hence the name, I assume – that you can easily walk down to the riverfront when you need a break from the city buzz. What I really appreciated is that they seem to get the small stuff right: check-in was smooth even though I arrived stupidly early, they actually had recommendations for places that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps, and the coffee in the lobby area is legitimately good, not that bitter hotel lobby stuff that tastes like it’s been sitting there since breakfast service started. The whole place has this relaxed, residential vibe that makes you feel like you’re staying in someone’s thoughtfully designed apartment rather than just another hotel room. Honestly, with a 9.9 rating, I was expecting to find some catch – maybe overpriced or trying too hard to be trendy – but it really does live up to the hype.

What Our Guests Say
Nana was a wonderful host, she me us on arrival and gave plenty of useful information about Belgrade and the vicinity and was available through WhatsApp for any questions. the entry is with a code (no keys) which was very comfortable. the apartment is very very central and walking distance from all major sites. the window is facing an internal courtyard so it is very quiet. the apartment is well organized and all the furniture seems to be new and very clean. Nana left us coffee capsules, tea and water bottles. great place to stay when visiting Belgrade and we will definitely return and tell our friends. the pictures of the property are exactly as in reality.
Perfect accommodation in the city centre, comfortable, clean, quiet, coffee and tea available, water in the fridge, very helpful host
What could be improved: everything was so good:-)
The property is new and clean and the host Nana is wonderfully helpful and accomodating.
What could be improved: Nothing
Belgrade is a beautiful 😍 city, and people are welcoming in general. But Nana, the host of Maison Danube, is a beautiful, positive, and helpful soul!!! Never in my life have ever encountered such an amazing host. Appartments are situated in the very heart of Belgrade, literally city centre. The amazing thing is they are super centre and super quite too, especially at night. Loved my stay, and if I go again, I definitely chose the same.
Owner Nana is so helpful to have you a nice stay. Room is new stylish and cosy. Perfect location.
What could be improved: It is on the 3rd floor and there is no elevetor just to keep in mind for some guests.
We stayed in this apartment for one night, and it was a great experience. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Belgrade, within walking distance of everything. The host met us upon arrival, explained everything, and made the check-in process smooth and easy.
The apartment itself is very clean, bright, and beautifully decorated. It has a small fridge and a coffee maker, which was a nice touch.
What could be improved: The only downside is that there’s no elevator, and the apartment is on the 3rd or 4th floor. If you have very heavy luggage, keep that in mind. However, overall, it’s a fantastic place to stay, and we would definitely recommend it!
The location of the hotel is excellent, making it easy to explore the city. The place is very clean, and the host is incredibly kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

The owner is warm, friendly,, hospitable and goes out of her way to help. And is very knowledgeable on where to go and what to see in Belgrade.
I will definitely return to Maison Danube.
What could be improved: Nothing to dislike.
Everything was very close to the apartment. The hostess was amazing and she gave us all the information we needed to make the most of our trip!!!!
What could be improved: Many steps to the apartment floor
