GENIUS STUDIO
You know what really got me about GENIUS STUDIO?
You know what really got me about GENIUS STUDIO? It’s tucked away on Zmaj Jovina street in a way that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something the tour groups haven’t found yet. I mean, Stari Grad is already the kind of neighborhood where you can wander for hours just soaking up the old Belgrade vibe, but this particular stretch – it’s got this quiet residential feel that’s honestly perfect after spending your days navigating the bustle around Knez Mihailova or Republic Square.
The studio itself lives up to that 9.4 rating, and I say this as someone who’s usually skeptical of places that score that high. There’s something about the way they’ve designed the space that just works – it’s modern without feeling sterile, functional without being boring. The apartment setup means you’re not dealing with hotel hallway noise at weird hours, which, trust me, matters more than you think when you’re trying to sleep off a night exploring Belgrade’s legendary nightlife. What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to pack everything you actually need into the space without it feeling cramped. The kitchenette is legitimately useful (not just decorative like some places), and honestly, picking up fresh bread from one of the local bakeries in the morning and having coffee there became part of my routine.
Being in Stari Grad means you’re walking distance from Kalemegdan Fortress – and I don’t mean tourist-brochure “walking distance,” I mean actually pleasant ten-minute strolls through streets that give you a real feel for how locals live. The Danube and Sava rivers are right there too, perfect for those evening walks when the city starts to cool down. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area (honestly, it’s Belgrade – parking’s always interesting), but the trade-off is worth it because you can walk to most of the places you’ll want to see. The neighborhood has this lived-in authenticity that you don’t get when you’re staying in the obvious tourist zones, plus there are these little kafanas and restaurants tucked into corners that you’d never find otherwise. I stumbled into this tiny place that served the best ćevapi I had during my entire stay, just two streets over.
What sealed it for me was the attention to details that actually matter – good wifi that doesn’t cut out when you need it, proper blackout options for the windows (Belgrade summer mornings are bright), and a check-in process that didn’t involve standing around lobbies. It’s the kind of place where you can spread out your maps and guidebooks, plan your days, then come back and actually relax instead of feeling like you’re camping out in someone else’s space.

What Our Guests Say
Amazing location right in the heart of Belgrade, the apartment has everything you need for the stay, and the host is great - he let us check in and out when we wanted, and was always happy to help us.
What could be improved: Nothing
Very good location, the studio is clean and comfy. Everything was good
You'll love this place! Nestled in the city center, yet perfectly quiet, it's got everything you need for your Belgrade adventure—washer, dryer, fully-equipped kitchen, you name it. Super clean and the host? Couldn't be more helpful.
The location was superb, right in the city centre. The place was immaculate and contained everything you need. The host couple Nicoli and Natasha are really friendly and helpful. Nicoli helped us carry the heavy luggage to the apartment upon arrival. The city tourist map available on site was really helpful for us to get around tourist attractions. On the day of departure, Nicoli generously let us stay till 1 pm and arranged a taxi for us going to the airport.
What could be improved: It is located on 4th Floor and has no lifts. Quite physically demanding as required to climb a flight of stairs.
Very good location, all I needed was in the apartment. Also I would say that hosts are very helpful and very nice people. I really enjoyed my stay there
The location is really great, and the apartment has everything you need - comfy bed, nice clean bathroom, hairdryer, heating…
What could be improved: I didn’t like climbing to the 4th floor, but it’s fine :)
We had a wonderful stay in the studio. It is equipped with everything you need, and it is ideally located at the very center of Belgrade. Highly recommended!
The location is perfect. It is within the walking streets of the city.
What could be improved: There is no elevator but that's bearable.
The studio is a little gem in the heart of Belgrade. It was just perfect. I was traveling for work and I felt like I was home. The host is incredibly kind and he accommodated my arrival even if my flight was delayed. Amazing stay, I will be back for sure!
