I actually spent way too much time just standing on my little balcony watching the boats go by – there’s something hypnotic about it.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve managed to keep that intimate, family-run feeling without skimping on the details. The rooms are genuinely comfortable (not just Instagram-comfortable, if you know what I mean), and the staff… look, I’m usually pretty skeptical about overly friendly hotel people, but these folks actually seem to care about whether you’re enjoying Zemun. The woman at reception gave me directions to this tiny kafana that I never would have found otherwise – turns out it’s where half the neighborhood goes for Sunday lunch. The whole area comes alive in the evenings, by the way. You’ll hear music drifting up from the riverside restaurants, and there’s this gentle buzz of conversation from the terraces below. It’s lively but not overwhelming – perfect for falling asleep to, actually. Parking can be a bit tricky on the narrow streets, but they sorted that out for me without any fuss. And here’s something I always notice – the check-in was smooth, no weird upselling or lengthy explanations of facilities I’ll never use. They just got me settled and let me get on with exploring.

I mean, a 9.9 rating sounds almost too good to be true, right? But after spending a few days here, I get it. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Belgrade – it’s just doing everything really, really well. You’re in this historic neighborhood that feels like stepping back in time, you’ve got the river right there, and you can walk to the city center when you want the urban energy. Plus, and this might sound weird, but the whole place just feels… calm? Like, genuinely relaxing in a way that’s hard to fake. If you’re looking for a base to explore Belgrade that doesn’t feel like every other hotel experience, this is it.
