Katarina was an amazing host. She let us check in early and personally showed us around the apartment, explaining the main features. She gave us lots of great recommendations and was very responsive to all our requests. The apartment was spotless and very comfortable. The location was great - we could walk everywhere we wanted. We visited during a heatwave - the temperature was over 35C but the air conditioning helped us stay cool inside and meant we could sleep well.
What could be improved: The kitchen was small but as we had no intention of cooking (there were restaurants very near by) it didn't matter to us at all.
Dorcol deluxe apartment
Belgrade, Serbia
Dorcol deluxe apartment
Honestly, I wasn't expecting much when I first walked up to Visokog Stevana 21 – the street's pretty quiet and residential, which actually turned out to be perfect.
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked up to Visokog Stevana 21 – the street’s pretty quiet and residential, which actually turned out to be perfect. The Dorcol deluxe apartment sits right in the heart of old Belgrade’s most interesting neighborhood, and I mean that in the best way possible. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Skadarlija (Belgrade’s bohemian quarter where all the kafanas are), but far enough away that you won’t hear drunk tourists singing Serbian folk songs at 2 AM.
The apartment itself? Well, it’s one of those places that makes you wonder why hotels even exist. Everything feels thoughtfully chosen rather than just… functional. The owner clearly gets what travelers actually need – there’s proper coffee (not those sad instant packets), the WiFi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and the shower has actual water pressure. I spent way too much time on the balcony with morning coffee, watching the neighborhood wake up. You know what struck me most? The little details that someone who’s never stayed in their own place wouldn’t think of – good hangers, enough outlets near the bed, blackout curtains that actually block light. The kitchen’s equipped like someone actually cooks in it, which came in handy since Kalenic Market is just around the corner and their produce section is incredible.
Location-wise, you’re in Dorcol, which honestly might be Belgrade’s best-kept secret. It’s got this authentic residential vibe – kids playing football in small courtyards, old men playing chess outside cafes, that kind of thing – but you can walk to Republic Square in about fifteen minutes if you want the touristy stuff. The Danube’s right there too, and if you’re into morning runs or evening walks, the path along the river is pretty spectacular, especially around sunset. Parking can be tricky in this part of Belgrade (like most European old towns), but the owner sent detailed instructions beforehand, and there’s actually street parking if you’re patient. I’d definitely recommend this place, especially if you want to feel like you’re staying in Belgrade rather than just visiting it. The 9.9 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s the kind of place that ruins other accommodations for you because suddenly you realize how low your standards were before.

What a great apartment in Belgrade!
Very cosy place with all you need for your stay. You even don’t wanna leave it. The apartment is very light with a lot of windows and a balcony. You feel that the interior is made with love.
The location is also good. Walking distance from the main walking street.
Katarina (the owner) is very hospitable and kind. She meets you in the airport and even brings you to the airport at night! What a service! She cares a lot that you feel like home at her place. I would definitely recommend people to stay in this apartment.
Super nice Apartment near the center. Its all new and comfy, 2 bedrooms and all you need for a stay in Belgrade. The host is very nice and helpful, from sightseeing tips to private airport transfer, everything is possible.100% recommend!
Everything was really good, and Katarina was a great host! She waited and kept a parking spot for us in front of the house. The house was clean and well equipped, having everything needed.
What could be improved: Nothing bad.
Everything was perfect
What could be improved: Nothing
The apartment has to offer more than you need. Nothing missing. Being the top floor in the building, I guess the terrace is lovely during summer time.
What could be improved: Block is not that new, but this is the same everywhre for this part of Belgrade.
