The apartment itself is more spacious than you’d expect for Belgrade, with these huge windows that let in ridiculous amounts of light during the day. The owner clearly put thought into every corner – there are these interesting art pieces and furnishings that feel curated rather than just thrown together. What I really appreciated was the kitchen setup; it’s actually functional if you want to cook something real, not just heat up instant noodles.

The Vračar location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Belgrade rather than just visiting it. You’re walking distance from Svetog Save temple (which, trust me, is worth seeing even if you’re not religious), and there’s this amazing bakery called Hleb & Kifle just two blocks down where locals actually go for their morning burek – none of that tourist markup nonsense. The neighborhood gets lively in the evenings but not obnoxiously loud; you’ll hear some street life but it dies down by midnight most nights. Parking can be a bit tricky on the main boulevard, but there are side streets where you can usually find a spot if you’re driving. The building itself is solid – good heating in winter, which matters more than you’d think, and the hot water pressure is actually decent.

What sets this place apart, though, is how it balances being stylish with being livable. I’ve stayed in plenty of “design” apartments that look great in photos but have nowhere to put your suitcase or charge your phone. This one gets those details right – plenty of outlets, good WiFi that doesn’t cut out every hour, and storage space that makes sense. The bed is genuinely comfortable, not just firm in that way that rental places think is universal. Plus, the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward; no awkward key exchanges or complicated instructions. If you’re the type who likes exploring neighborhoods on foot, you’ll love how many cafes and local spots are within a ten-minute walk. Honestly, it’s one of those places where you could easily extend your stay and not feel like you’re just killing time in a hotel room.
