It’s actually in one of those classic Belgrade buildings on Resavska Street that looks pretty unassuming from the outside, but once you get inside – honestly, it’s a completely different story. The location is sort of perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Belgrade rather than just visiting it. Vračar is this leafy, residential neighborhood where actual Belgraders live, and you’re basically a five-minute walk from Slavija Square (though I mean, that’s more of a traffic circle than a proper square, but it’s useful for getting around). The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish friend let you crash at their place – there’s this attention to detail that you don’t usually get in hotels, like proper coffee cups instead of those tiny hotel ones, and the kind of lighting that actually makes you look good in photos.

What really gets me about this place is how quiet it is at night, which is honestly surprising given that you’re still central enough to walk to Knez Mihailova in about fifteen minutes. The windows are solid – I barely heard any street noise, and trust me, Belgrade can get pretty lively. The neighborhood has this mix of old-school Serbian bakeries (there’s one right around the corner that does these incredible burek pastries) and newer cafes that locals actually hang out in, not just tourist traps. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle on the street, but the host was super helpful about explaining the zone system – apparently there are different colored zones and… well, it’s complicated, but they walk you through it. The building has this old-world elevator that’s actually kind of charming once you get used to it making those mechanical sounds.

Here’s the thing though – and this is why I’d definitely stay here again – it just feels authentic. The kitchen is properly equipped (like, you could actually cook dinner if you wanted), the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and there’s enough space that you’re not tripping over your luggage constantly. Plus, being in Vračar means you’re close to some of Belgrade’s best restaurants that tourists never find. There’s this tiny place called Manufaktura that’s maybe a seven-minute walk away, and their ćevapi is honestly better than anything you’ll get in the touristy areas. The whole setup just works – whether you’re here for a long weekend or staying longer, you’ll actually feel settled rather than like you’re camping out in someone else’s space. And with a 9 rating, I’m clearly not the only one who thinks this place hits the sweet spot between location, comfort, and that indefinable thing that makes you want to come back to Belgrade.
