You know what struck me first about Royal Park? It’s actually tucked away on this quiet stretch of Resavska Street in Vračar – and I mean quiet in the best possible way. The neighborhood has this residential feel that most tourists never see, but you’re literally a ten-minute walk from Slavija Square and all the action downtown. The building itself has that understated European elegance thing going on, nothing flashy, but you can tell they put thought into the details.

Honestly, the 9.5 rating makes complete sense once you’re inside. The staff – and I’m usually pretty cynical about hotel service – actually seem to give a damn. Check-in was smooth, they knew the neighborhood well enough to give me solid restaurant recommendations (there’s this little kafana around the corner that locals pack every night), and when I mentioned I was worried about street noise, they moved me to a room facing the courtyard without me even asking. The rooms themselves are what I’d call properly comfortable – not trying too hard to be trendy, just well-designed with good beds and bathrooms that actually work. The shower pressure was excellent, which honestly can make or break a trip for me.

What really sets this place apart though is the location knowledge you get. Vračar is one of those Belgrade neighborhoods that feels authentically Serbian without being touristy – you’ve got tree-lined streets, actual bakeries where locals grab their morning burek, and this sense that you’re staying where people actually live. The hotel sits right in the sweet spot where you can walk to the main sights (Temple of Saint Sava is maybe fifteen minutes on foot) but you’re not dealing with the noise and chaos of the pedestrian zones. Parking can be tricky in this area – street parking is hit or miss – but the hotel sorted that out for me too. I mean, for a four-star place, they really do sweat the small stuff that matters. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the elevators are a bit slow, but that’s pretty standard for European hotels in older buildings. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. It’s one of those places that just works without any drama, and in Belgrade, that combination of location, service, and local feel is harder to find than you’d think.
