Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Belgrade hotels, but this place on the 23rd floor of the BW Aurora building actually caught me off guard – and I mean that in the best way possible. You know those moments when you walk into a place and immediately think “okay, this is going to be good”? That’s exactly what happened here. The elevator ride up gives you a hint of what’s coming, but honestly, nothing prepares you for those floor-to-ceiling windows and the view over the Sava. I mean, you can literally see the whole old city sprawling out in front of you, plus the river doing its thing below.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to make luxury feel… well, not stuffy. The apartment itself is massive – I’m talking proper living space, not just a fancy hotel room with delusions of grandeur. The kitchen actually works (I tested it with some late-night cooking experiments), and the bedroom setup is smart without being over-the-top modern. The whole place has this clean, sophisticated vibe that somehow doesn’t scream “don’t touch anything.” Plus, being right on Bulevar Vudroa Vilsona puts you in this interesting spot where you’re technically in the new Belgrade waterfront development, but you can still walk to Knez Mihailova in about fifteen minutes if you’re feeling energetic.

Here’s the thing though – and this is probably why they’re pulling a 9.9 rating – it’s the details that make the difference. The soundproofing is incredible (trust me, Belgrade can get loud, especially during summer nights), the air conditioning actually works properly, and the internet doesn’t die every time someone in the building watches Netflix. The building itself has solid security, which matters when you’re on the 23rd floor of what’s essentially a luxury high-rise. Parking was surprisingly straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven in Belgrade will tell you is basically a minor miracle. I stayed during one of those crazy hot July weeks, and while the rest of the city was melting, this place stayed perfectly cool. The only tiny critique I’d have is that the building can feel a bit isolated from the traditional Belgrade vibe – you’re definitely in the modern, developed part of town rather than the bohemian quarters most people fall in love with. But honestly? Sometimes after a long day of exploring cobblestone streets and dodging trams, coming back to this kind of comfort and those views is exactly what you need.
