Belgrade Waterfront 10th fl Lux Apt. w/ City view

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked into this Belgrade Waterfront apartment – I mean, new developments can be hit or miss, you know? But stepping out onto that 10th-floor balcony and seeing the entire city sprawled out below… well, that changed everything. The Sava River curves right beneath you, and on clear mornings you can watch the whole city wake up while you’re having coffee. There’s something pretty magical about being up high enough to see both the old Ottoman quarters and the modern glass towers at the same time.

What really got me though was how quiet it actually is up there. You’d think being right on Bulevar Vudroa Vilsona would mean constant traffic noise, but the building’s surprisingly well-insulated. The apartment itself feels genuinely luxurious without being stuffy – everything’s brand new (that new-construction smell was still faintly there when I visited), and whoever designed it actually thought about how people live. The kitchen’s got proper counter space, not just some tiny galley situation, and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showers that actually works. I spent way too much time just standing there letting the hot water run over me after walking around Kalemegdan all day. The bed’s comfortable too – firm enough that you won’t wake up with a backache, which honestly matters more than people admit when you’re doing the tourist thing all day.

Location-wise, you’re basically in the sweet spot. Walk five minutes toward the river and you’re at the new waterfront promenade where locals go for evening strolls, or head the other direction and you’ll hit Knez Mihailova street with all the cafes and shops. The building’s entrance on the B side can be a little tricky to find at first – I circled the block twice before I figured it out – but once you know where it is, it’s easy enough. Parking can be interesting in this area, but there’s a garage nearby if you’re driving. What I really appreciated was how the host was actually reachable and helpful, not like some places where you get the keys and then you’re on your own. They knew the neighborhood well enough to point me toward this little bakery around the corner that makes these incredible burek pastries – the kind of local tip that actually makes a difference. With a 9.9 rating, I was skeptical it could live up to the hype, but after three nights here, I get it. It’s not perfect – the elevator’s a bit slow and the wifi had one hiccup – but it’s the kind of place that makes you want to extend your stay just to enjoy that view for another morning.
