My unit had this surprisingly spacious kitchen with decent appliances – not just the token mini-fridge and hot plate you sometimes get. The bathroom was properly renovated too, with good water pressure, which… well, if you’ve stayed in older Belgrade buildings, you know that’s not always a given. What I really appreciated was the attention to details that actually matter to travelers: proper blackout curtains, enough electrical outlets, and – this might sound small – but decent hangers in the closet instead of those flimsy wire things.

The location is actually pretty genius when you think about it. You’re close enough to walk to Knez Mihailova pedestrian zone for dinner, but far enough from the party areas that you’re not dealing with weekend noise from the floating river clubs. There’s a solid bakery right around the corner on the way to the main street, and if you need groceries, there’s a decent market about three blocks down. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this part of town – street parking fills up fast during the day – but the host was really helpful about explaining the system with the parking zones. Check-in was smooth too; they actually met me at the apartment instead of making me hunt down some random office across town. The 8.8 rating makes sense to me – it’s not luxury, but it gets all the fundamentals right and then some. For the price point, especially if you’re planning to actually explore Belgrade rather than just camp out in a hotel, this place delivers exactly what you need without any of the tourist-trap nonsense.
