It’s tucked away in Financial Park, which honestly sounds corporate and boring, but the location is actually brilliant if you want to be close to everything without dealing with the tourist chaos. I mean, you’re literally a 10-minute walk from Knez Mihailova – the main pedestrian street – but you’re not hearing drunk backpackers at 3 AM.

The apartment itself punches way above its weight for a studio. When I walked in, my first thought was “okay, this is actually well thought out” – not just some afterthought rental. The space feels bigger than it should, probably because whoever designed it understood that in Belgrade, you’re not spending much time indoors anyway. The kitchen setup is proper functional (I made Turkish coffee every morning without wanting to throw things), and the bed is comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with Serbian bears all night. The WiFi is solid too, which matters if you’re trying to figure out where to eat or upload photos of the fortress at sunset. What really sold me on the place was the neighborhood vibe – Savski Venac has this perfect mix of locals going about their business and enough cafes that you can people-watch with proper coffee. There’s a small market around the corner where the woman behind the counter started recognizing me after day two (and helped me figure out which cheese to buy). The tram connections are ridiculously good from here – you can get to Zemun for fish restaurants along the Danube, or hop over to Skadarlija when you want that bohemian atmosphere everyone talks about.

Honestly, the 9.6 rating makes sense when you consider what you’re getting for the price point. It’s not luxury – the shower is a bit small and the street can get busy during rush hour – but it’s exactly what you want from a Belgrade base camp. The building itself is quiet at night, which is gold in a city where people eat dinner at 10 PM and consider midnight the start of the evening. Check-in was smooth (the host actually showed up early), and they left me a little guide to neighborhood spots that included a rakija bar I never would have found otherwise. If you’re the type who wants to experience Belgrade like someone who actually lives here, rather than bouncing between hostels and tourist traps, this studio gets it right.
