You’re right in Stari Grad, which means you can walk to pretty much everything that matters. Skadarlija’s literally around the corner – I’ve stumbled back from Tri Šešira more times than I care to admit. The fortress is maybe a 10-minute walk if you’re not rushing, and you’ve got that whole Knez Mihailova pedestrian zone right there for when you need to buy overpriced souvenirs or grab coffee. What I really appreciate though is that you’re on a side street, so it’s not constantly noisy like some of the places right on the main drags. Well, except on weekend nights when people are heading to the clubs, but that’s Belgrade for you.

If you’re the type who wants to be in the thick of things without paying hotel prices, and you don’t need someone bringing you fresh towels every day, this works really well. The value proposition is solid, especially if you’re planning to actually explore the city rather than hang around your room. Plus, there’s something nice about having a bit more space and feeling less like a tourist – you can actually live a little while you’re here.
