You know what caught me off guard about Apartment Terazije Center? It’s actually way quieter than you’d expect for being smack in the middle of Belgrade’s action. I mean, you’re literally on Prizrenska Street in Stari Grad – which sounds intimidating if you don’t know the area, but it’s honestly one of those perfect spots where you can walk everywhere without dealing with the tourist chaos.
The thing is, this place gets the balance right. It’s got that solid 4-star feel without trying too hard, if that makes sense. The apartments themselves are spacious (and I mean actually spacious, not “European spacious”), with kitchens that you’ll probably use more than you think. The whole setup works really well if you’re staying more than a couple nights – there’s something nice about having your own space after wandering around Belgrade all day. What really sold me was how the staff actually knows the neighborhood. When I asked about where to grab coffee that wasn’t touristy, the guy at the front desk sent me to this tiny place two blocks away that I never would’ve found otherwise.
Location-wise, you’re about a 10-minute walk to Republic Square and Knez Mihailova – close enough that you don’t need taxis, but far enough that you’re not hearing street performers until midnight. The building itself sits on a quieter stretch, which honestly surprised me given how central it is. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle (welcome to Belgrade), but they’ll help you figure it out, and there are actually spots nearby if you know where to look. One thing I appreciated – and this might sound small – but the whole check-in process was refreshingly normal. No weird hidden fees, no pushing upgrades you don’t need, just straightforward and friendly. The 8.3 rating makes sense once you’re there; it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but everything works the way it should. The Wi-Fi is solid, the water pressure is decent, and the beds are comfortable enough that you won’t wake up planning your escape. Plus, you’re really in Belgrade here – step outside and you’re immediately in the mix of local life, not stuck in some hotel district bubble.

What could be improved: Stay away from this accommodation! We had a reservation for the weekend and were told 3 hours before arriving that the apartment had been destroyed by previous guests and that they would not have time to fix it and accommodate us, so cancel the reservation. Instead, we received recommendations for other places to stay, but I'm sure it was all a big lie.

What could be improved: I arrived at the outer door of the apartment block at exactly the time I had told the host I would be there. The host had confirmed the time to be OK. The host was not there to let me in. I called the host's number about 10 times over the space of 30 minutes, but no answer. A lady from another apartment in the same building entered the building so I spoke to her. She told me that "This was not the first time". A few minutes later, a gentleman entered the building. I spoke to him. He knew the host. He let me into the block and took me to the apartment. We knocked the door together in case the host was inside. 2 gentlemen answered the door, and they told us that they were renting the apartment. Myself, the neighbour, and the renters all tried to ring the host, but no reply. The neighbour took me to a nearby hotel, where I had to stay, as otherwise I would have been left without any accommodation. The hotel cost a lot more (I have the receipt) but I had no other option. After travelling all day, this was not what I wanted. To add insult to injury, the host reported me as a no-show! I informed booking.com of the problem on 5th April, and am still awaiting their response.

What could be improved: Worst bed with a big hole in the middle left side, woke up with a pain in my back from sleeping. Waited a couple of hours to get inside the room at 15:20 in the afternoon and the room was still very dirty with weeks old spider webs (no spiders) and a lot of dust on the floor. No toiler paper or kitchen paper, no trash bag, no warm water at the time of entering. They offered to refund half of the money and to clean the room on the second day, which I thought was fair and accepted. But then, the next morning, they appologized and said that the leading manager said that they don't do refunds. They were accusative of me all the time, like I was the one lying about most of the things, and we spent hours messaging instead of enjoying my stay. In the end, we decided to cancel the second night, they returned the money for the 2nd night, and I got out. Later, they contacted me saying that the apartment was indeed very dirty and apologized again, said that they would punish the manager who had to clean it beforehand, which does not help my situation since I still paid fully for 1 night that I spend in a badly prepared apartment. Oh yeah, they accused me of not looking around and complain as soon as I walked in the apartment with the host, even though I complained after only about an hour, they tried making a fool out of me, therefore I can not give them more than 1 star rating even though, at times they seemed nice. That was my experience with them, my advice is don't trust them too much, and I hope they change for the better and don't repeat the same mistakes with the next person.

- There were all the consumables for the shower and even for cooking (salt, sugar, oil, etc.)
What could be improved: - Confused the check-in time and waited later
- It was quite dusty, I had to wipe everything myself
- The toilet was dirty after the previous tenants.
- The door handle in the bathroom is broken
- There is no curtain in the bathroom.
- The heating in the bathroom is very loud, but it can be turned off (for some reason we were not advised to do this)
- They did not offer to make a white card for a foreigner at any stage of the trip. Foreigners are required to make a white card in the first 24 hours, at the border they can fine you for not having one.
- Since the apartment is located on the roof, the sun heats everything inside very strongly in the morning, and the air conditioner is located in the kitchen, not in the bedroom

What could be improved: No complain
The location was really good, just at the city center, very easy to find.
The apartment is on the 5th floor, and the elevator is available.
The pictures in the flat are very beautiful.
There are enough appliances and dishes in the kitchen. The apartment has a washing machine, iron, air conditioner.
There is a possibility for parking in the front of the building (if there is a free space).
Since the parking fee must be paid via SMS, the broker was very nice, and she did it for us - the amount was 15 euro (for 12 hours stay).
What could be improved: Bath towels were not available, but only face towels. It's a good thing we brought our own... For the third person, the bed was not made, and no towels were provided.
The sheets were extremely rough.
The stream of water in the bathroom is weak. The bed is quite creaky.
Be prepared - payment is possible only cash (euro or dinar).
