The location is what really got me first. Resavska Street sits right in the heart of Vračar, which is sort of like Belgrade’s answer to a sophisticated neighborhood that hasn’t lost its soul yet. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Svetogorska Street where all the good coffee shops are, and I mean the kind where locals actually hang out, not just tourist traps. The building itself has that classic Belgrade architecture – you know, the kind with those tall windows and solid walls that actually keep street noise out (trust me, this matters when you’re near the city center). What surprised me was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re so close to everything.

The apartment itself – well, they call it a 4-star place, but honestly it feels more upscale than some 5-star hotels I’ve been in. The space is generous, which is refreshing because so many city accommodations feel like they’re designed for very small people with very few belongings. The kitchen is actually functional – I mean, you could cook a proper meal if you wanted to, not just heat up instant noodles. The bathroom has one of those rainfall showerheads that actually works properly, and the water pressure is excellent (you’d be surprised how often this is an issue in older Belgrade buildings). What I really appreciated were the small touches – good lighting for reading, enough outlets in sensible places, and windows that open properly for fresh air.

The check-in process was smooth, no awkward key exchanges or confusing instructions. Parking can be a bit tricky in this area – it’s mostly street parking with those SMS payment zones – but that’s pretty standard for central Belgrade, and honestly, you probably won’t need a car much since you can walk to most places or catch public transport easily. I walked to Kalemegdan Park one morning, took maybe 15 minutes through some really lovely streets. The neighborhood has this nice mix of old-school Belgrade charm and newer cafes and shops, so you get a real feel for how the city actually lives.

Here’s what really sealed it for me – the place just works. Sometimes you stay somewhere and spend half your time figuring out how to work the shower or dealing with sketchy WiFi. Not here. Everything functions like it should, the space feels comfortable after a long day of walking around the city, and you wake up feeling like you actually rested. For Belgrade, especially in this area, that 9.7 rating makes complete sense. It’s one of those places where you find yourself thinking “I could actually live here for a while” instead of just counting down days until checkout.
