Look, I'll be honest – when I first pulled up to Apartment Green Lux on Jug Bogdanova, I wasn't sure what to expect.
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Apartment Green Lux on Jug Bogdanova, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The street’s tucked away in Savski Venac, which honestly is one of those Belgrade neighborhoods that locals love but tourists often miss. You know how some places just feel right the moment you walk in? That’s exactly what happened here.
The building itself has this understated elegance that’s very Belgrade – not flashy, but you can tell someone put real thought into the details. What really struck me was how quiet it is, considering you’re literally minutes from the city center. I mean, you can walk to Knez Mihailova in about fifteen minutes, but at night you’d never know you’re in the middle of a capital city. The apartments (and they really are proper apartments, not just hotel rooms with a kitchenette thrown in) have this natural light that just floods in during the day. The “Green Lux” name actually makes sense when you see how much greenery they’ve managed to work into the design – there are plants everywhere, but not in that trying-too-hard way some places do.
What I really appreciated was the practical stuff that nobody talks about until it goes wrong. The WiFi actually works properly, the water pressure is fantastic (if you’ve stayed in older Belgrade buildings, you’ll know this isn’t a given), and the kitchen has everything you’d actually need if you want to grab some stuff from the Maxi market down the street and cook breakfast. The host was genuinely helpful too – not just the standard “here’s your key” routine, but actually took time to explain which tram lines are best and where to find decent coffee nearby. They pointed me toward this little bakery on the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise. You know what really sealed it for me though? The building’s got this old-school Belgrade charm but with modern heating that actually works – I was there in November and it was properly warm, not that fake warmth you get from rattling radiators. The location is sort of perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Belgrade rather than just passing through. You’re close enough to walk to the fortress and the old town, but you’re also in a real neighborhood where people actually live and work. I’d definitely stay here again, and honestly, with a 9.9 rating, I’m clearly not the only one who thinks they’ve got something special going on.

A very comfortable apartment right in the heart of Belgrade. All the main attractions are within walking distance. The apartment is comfortable, cozy and fully equipped with everything you might need. Nikola, the host, is very kind and attentive—he helped us with everything. His assistance was especially valuable when we had a transportation issue on the day of our departure. I wholeheartedly recommend this apartment.

We spent five days here. Fantastic host who really made you feel welcome and looked after, very nice 3rd floor apartment fully refurbished and equipped to a high standard, everything immaculately clean, plenty of international tv channels as well as Netflix. No noise from the street. Easy walking distance to Republic square and main pedestrian area. Bus 72 from the airport has final stop less than 100 metres from the apartment and is free of charge.
What could be improved: Nothing we didn't like, but the double bed is a little on the smaller side, this is no problem though unless you demand lots of space around you when sharing a bed.

the apartment is in a very good location, very clean and beautifully decorated. We travel often and it was the first time I felt like I was at home. Honestly the best and cleanest apartment we have visited. if you find it available, don't miss the opportunity to visit it. But the best of all is the host. We absolutely loved our stay. Nikola was an exceptional host. He actually picked us up at the bus station, which was outside the city limits. If that wasn't amazing enough, he then arrived at 5:20 am the day we were leaving to take us to the airport!!! We have stayed in many apartments when we are traveling, but this was well beyond a 10 star rating!!! The apartment was emacuatly clean. Everything you could possibly need!!. We were welcomed with lovely cookies and coffee!!!

What could be improved: The building does not have a working elevator and the flat is on the 4th floor, but i knew about it and planned my stay accordingly. So you just need to prepare for the cardio:)

The warmest welcome to Belgrade from Nikola, a thoroughly nice chap, helpful, kind, flexible. Helped us with our bags and showed genuine kindness. He accommodated our early check in request, left us some awesome tips for getting to the airport and the apartment was perfect. Location great, good value, apartment clean and modern. The attention to detail: little things like water in the fridge, nice coffee, snacks, handwash in the bathroom, tablets for the dishwasher (you'd be surprised how many apartments dont even provide these things). This attention to detail makes such a difference, especially for the weary family after a sleep deprived night on the train! Shower was lovely, better than at home. Beds were comfy, wifi solid, what more can I say other than to highly recommend this apartment wholeheartedly. Of the four apartments of my trip, this one was by far the nicest by a long way.
What could be improved: Nothing to dislike! For the less mobile there are a few stairs to climb but no big deal for us. With hindsight I should have booked a longer stay!

Newly renovated, exceptionaly clean, moder and very comfotable appartment, furnished with everythung needed to feel like home. Due to the elevator not functioning, the owner Nikola helped us with the bags up to the 4th floor. Nikola was very kind to find us patking spot right at the appartment and had the place cooled before we entered it, as it was very hot in Belgrade that day. The appartment is just 10 min walk from Knez Mihajlova. We booked it for the location close to Usche, since we were going to a concert. We got the full package just like on the photos. Thank you.
