Plus, you’re not dealing with the weekend chaos of Skadarlija or the constant construction noise that seems to follow you around Vračar these days. The public transport connections are solid too – I mean, you’re not walking to Republic Square, but the bus lines get you downtown in maybe 20 minutes, and there’s usually parking available (which, let’s be real, is worth its weight in gold in this city).

What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to blend modern comfort with that distinctly Serbian hospitality that you can’t fake. The apartment itself feels like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place – everything works, it’s genuinely clean, and there are those little touches that show someone’s been thinking about what guests actually need. The wifi is fast enough for video calls (tested it), the water pressure is consistently good, and the heating system doesn’t sound like it’s about to give up, which is more than I can say for some five-star places I’ve stayed at in Belgrade. The 9.5 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there – it’s not trying to be flashy or impress you with marble lobbies, but it delivers on the stuff that actually matters when you’re trying to sleep, work, or just feel comfortable in a new city. I keep thinking about how quiet it was at night, especially compared to the hotels near the main pedestrian zones where you’re dealing with late-night revelers until 3 AM. If you’re someone who values genuine comfort over Instagram-worthy amenities, and you want to experience Belgrade like someone who actually lives here rather than just passing through, Zaza apartman gets it right in a way that’s becoming increasingly rare.
