You know what struck me first about Villa 1927? It’s tucked away on this quiet residential street in Zvezdara, and honestly, I almost walked past it because it doesn’t scream “hotel” from the outside. It looks more like someone’s gorgeous family mansion that they’ve opened up to guests – which, I mean, is basically what it is. The building itself has this understated elegance that feels authentic to Belgrade, not like those cookie-cutter places downtown.
The location is actually brilliant once you get your bearings. Zvezdara might not sound familiar if you’re new to Belgrade, but it’s one of those neighborhoods where real people live, you know? You’re about fifteen minutes from the city center by tram (the number 12 runs pretty regularly), but you get to experience Belgrade like a local instead of being stuck in the tourist bubble around Knez Mihailova. There’s this fantastic little kafana called Dva Jelena just a few blocks away where the locals go – I stumbled across it on my second night and ended up chatting with the owner for an hour. The villa sits on a tree-lined street that’s blissfully quiet at night, which was perfect after long days exploring the fortress or wandering through Skadarlija.
What really sets this place apart though is how personal everything feels. The staff – and I think some of them might actually be family members – remember your name and genuinely seem to care about your stay. My room had these beautiful hardwood floors that creaked just slightly when you walked across them (in a charming way, not annoying), and the furnishings felt carefully chosen rather than bulk-ordered. The breakfast spread was incredible – proper Serbian cheese and ajvar, fresh bread that I’m pretty sure came from a local bakery, and coffee that didn’t taste like it came from a machine. They even had homemade jam that the owner’s mother apparently makes. I mean, you can’t fake that kind of attention to detail. The whole experience felt more like staying with sophisticated relatives than checking into a hotel, if that makes sense. Sure, it’s not flashy or trendy, but there’s something refreshing about a place that focuses on doing the fundamentals really, really well instead of trying to impress you with gimmicks.

The inside of the property is a delightful historical reminder of the area. It ie nicely decorated. The bathroom is well designed, excellent water pressure and good size shower.
Excellent location, value for money, competent and helpful staff, good facilities, great accommodation.
What could be improved: Nothing worth mentioning
Excellent bed and high-pressure shower with abundant hot water, great location with easy access to the city and plenty bakeries around. Good restaurant next to the hotel with affordable breakfast and big-portion lunch/dinner meals
What could be improved: It was a little difficult to open the window because of the blinds, the room safe was hard to use
Extremely clean, everything is new and comfortable. 20min away from the main street. The food in the restaurant was delicious. It was my first time in Villa 1927, but it won't be last. Strongly recommend!
Everything about Villa 1927 exceeded my expectations! The room was spacious, very tidy, and extremely comfortable- perfect for relaxing after a day in Belgrade. The staff at reception were incredibly kind and welcoming, making check-in smooth and the entire stay feel special.
Don't miss Uprava 1927, located right next to the villa. It’s a fantastic place to for a great atmosphere and grabbing some drinks. If you're visiting Belgrade, this place is a top pick, and I’ll definitely be checking availability at Villa 1927 first next time I come!
The location is very central. The hotel is very good. I have stayed with my family. The staff is very lovely and she is very kindful and helpful. Next time, we will definitely stay here again.

Very nice Ambiente and very save parking garage. Greatest bath ever!
Great place and the stuff was very friendly. All is handled without keys and you only need a code to enter the room.
The room was very big, modern and clean.
What could be improved: There might be some small noise from the street.
The manager, Anna, is the best manager I have ever seen all around the world! She did my stay even more comfortable!
