You know what caught me off guard about Studio Slaviya? It’s tucked away on Kralja Milutina in a way that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something the tour groups haven’t figured out yet. I mean, you’re still right in Savski Venac – honestly one of Belgrade’s most walkable neighborhoods – but there’s this quiet residential vibe that’s refreshing after dealing with the chaos around Republic Square or Knez Mihailova.
The building itself has that solid Belgrade charm, sort of brutalist but not intimidating, if that makes sense. What really works here is how they’ve managed to create actual studio spaces that don’t feel cramped – and trust me, I’ve stayed in plenty of European “studios” that are basically closets with a hotplate. The staff gets it too; they’re not hovering but they actually know the neighborhood. Like, they’ll tell you the bakery around the corner opens at 6 AM (perfect for early coffee before the city wakes up) or which tram line gets you to Kalemegdan without the tourist crowds. The check-in was smooth – none of that awkward waiting around while they figure out their system.
Here’s the thing about this location that you won’t get from looking at a map: you’re close enough to walk to Svetogorska Street’s café scene in about ten minutes, but far enough from the main drags that you’re not dealing with street noise at night. Actually, that was one of my favorite discoveries – stepping out in the morning and hearing normal neighborhood sounds instead of tour buses and honking. The Sava river isn’t far either, maybe fifteen minutes if you want to walk along the water or check out the old railway bridge area. Parking can be tricky (this is Belgrade, after all), but the hotel staff knows which streets are your best bet, and honestly, you probably won’t need a car much once you’re settled in. The rooms themselves feel thoughtfully designed – not trying too hard to be trendy but clearly someone put effort into making the space work. Good shower pressure, which matters more than people admit, and the kitchenette actually has everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the Maxi nearby and eat in sometimes. That 8.8 rating isn’t just people being generous – this place delivers on the basics while giving you a genuine taste of living in Belgrade rather than just visiting it.

I reserved this accommodation for my friend and her partner and their impressions are very good. The accommodation was in a great location, everything went perfectly and they were specially pleased with promptness and kindness of Lazar.
What could be improved: The only downside was that the accommodation is on ground floor, so it was a bit cold sometimes for them.
For a fairly reasonable price, you get a big, fully decked out apartment all to yourself, including a big comfy bed, it's well air conditioned, kitchen with all you need and even a fold out couch to accommodate one extra person if necessary. The location might look sketchy from the outside, but don't let that worry you. It's an awesome place in a killer location and you're under three different locked doors, so it's pretty safe. It's separated enough from the main streets that it's very calm and quiet too. It's very close to the city center and central bus station, so commuting on foot is easy, no taxis needed. The host is also exceptionally friendly and helpful and he replied to all my messages very quickly.
What could be improved: Really the only minor complaint is that the bathroom is a bit small, but it's still absolutely usable. Also the place is on the ground floor and the windows look out towards the courtyard outside, so make sure to keep those blinds on if you want some privacy. Thankfully it's not on the street itself, so it's still quite calm, nobody walked past the windows during my 2 days there.
Host was very friendly and showed us how to enter and exit the builing. Spacious room. Great location close to restaurant and grocery store.

We really enjoyed the apartment. It was clean and we found everything we need in it. There were hot water, a good internet connection and an Android TV (which we can use to watch YouTube or Netflix.). The location of the apartment was also great. We preferred to go to the places we'd like to visit by foot and it wasn't hard. But the best thing about the apartment was the host. Lazar is a great guy, he showed a big hospitality and was very helpful during the time we spent there. Thank you for everything. Highly recommended :)
The host was very attentive Abe accommodating.
Place was originaly probably basement (its partialy underground), so dont expect much. Its ok, decent flat with ok location. For the money was decent place.
