You know what surprised me about Star apartment? It’s tucked away on Miročka street in Palilula, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from the location at first – but this turned out to be one of those happy accidents where you end up somewhere genuinely nice. The building itself has that solid Belgrade charm, not flashy or trying too hard, just well-maintained and comfortable in a way that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere real rather than some generic hotel bubble.
The apartment itself is spacious – I mean properly spacious, not that cramped “studio” nonsense you sometimes get. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even though you’re still connected to the city. Palilula has this residential feel that’s hard to find in central Belgrade, but you’re not stuck out in the middle of nowhere either. The Danube isn’t far if you want to walk along the water (which, honestly, more people should do – it’s lovely in the early evening), and getting into the main parts of the city is straightforward enough. I found myself taking trams more than I expected, which was actually kind of nice – you see more of how the city actually works that way.
The rating of 8.3 feels about right, maybe even a touch conservative. Everything worked the way it should, the wifi was solid (tested it thoroughly, as you do), and the kitchen setup meant I could grab groceries from the local market and actually cook something decent instead of eating out every meal. The check-in was smooth – none of that awkward waiting around in a lobby wondering if anyone’s going to show up. What really sold me on the place was the attention to small details: proper hangers in the closet, enough outlets near the bed, a shower with actual water pressure. You know those little things that don’t sound important until you’re dealing with places that get them wrong? Star apartment gets them right. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning a longer visit to Belgrade – it’s the kind of place where you can settle in properly rather than just passing through.
