The apartments where amazing, great location, great apartments and great price! It was perfect for our group of 8 people as we booked all 4 apartments and had the whole floor for us alone.

Square 6
You know what caught me off guard about Square 6?
You know what caught me off guard about Square 6? It’s actually tucked right into the heart of Stari Grad, but somehow feels like this calm little pocket away from all the tourist chaos. I mean, you’re literally on Bulevar despota Stefana – which sounds intimidating but it’s honestly just one of those tree-lined Belgrade streets that locals actually use to get around, not just another pedestrian zone packed with souvenir shops.
The building itself has this understated thing going on that I really appreciated. It’s not trying to be some flashy boutique place, but everything just… works. The lobby has these clean lines and decent lighting (you know how some hotels have that weird fluorescent vibe that makes everyone look sick?), and check-in was refreshingly straightforward. No upselling, no twenty-minute spiel about amenities. The staff clearly know their neighborhood too – when I asked about grabbing coffee that wasn’t Starbucks, the desk guy immediately pointed me toward this little spot two blocks down that apparently does the best Turkish coffee in the area. He was right, actually.
What really sold me on the place was how it sits in the neighborhood. You’ve got Kalemegdan Park close enough for morning runs, but you’re also walking distance to those narrow streets where locals actually eat and drink. I honestly didn’t expect to stumble onto Skadarlija (the old bohemian quarter) so easily from here – it’s maybe a ten-minute walk through some really pleasant side streets. And here’s something nobody mentions in typical hotel reviews: the soundproofing is solid. Belgrade can get pretty lively at night, especially on weekends, but I slept well even with windows cracked open. The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star – clean, comfortable beds, decent shower pressure, and enough space to actually unpack if you’re staying more than a night or two. There’s this attention to small details that you notice after a day or two, like proper blackout curtains and outlets positioned where you’d actually want to plug things in.
I mean, look – it’s not going to blow your mind with some Instagram-worthy rooftop bar or marble everything. But that 9.1 rating makes sense when you realize it’s just really good at being a hotel. The kind of place where you can walk out the front door and feel like you’re experiencing actual Belgrade, not some sanitized tourist version of it. Plus, if you’re planning to explore beyond the old town, you’re well-positioned here – good bus connections and the whole Dorćol area is an easy walk if you want to see where the city’s heading next.

What Our Guests Say
The host was lovely, accommodating and the place was just perfect! Clean, well equipped, comfy, beautifully designed, with a perfect location & in a lovely building. Won't book anywhere else in Belgrade ever again!
What could be improved: The only bad thing is that we had to leave eventually.
Easy to check-in. Everything in the room seems new and stylish. I like very much panoramic windows. I like how host managed the space here. You have place to sleep, place to eat and place to work! Bathroom is clean and pleasant.
What could be improved: If you open the window at night to ventilate, it can be noisy.
I loved the location, how clean it was. The interesting building it was located in.
What could be improved: Nothing
What could be improved: The elevator does not work. It is difficult to climb up, especially if the person is elderly.
Location, TV, bed
What could be improved: The lift was out of service, hard to reach the room having heavy luggage. The washing machine didn’t work.
We did not meet Victor in person, but he shared all the information with us before the trip. We had all the information before entering the room and we entered the room without any difficulty. The room was clean. There was everything we could need. The location is very good and it is possible to reach everywhere.
What could be improved: Unfortunately, the elevator did not work during our 5 days stay. We had to constantly go up and down 6 flights of stairs.
Location was really good. The apartment was as described and clean, bed was comfortable.
What could be improved: Elevator was not working for the time we were there
It's a nice newly refurbished apartment, well designed and equipped so basically OK. The location was really excellent, right near local transport and write on the square. There were inexpensive fast food shops and store right close by and right next to the Chinese restaurant street, if you like Chinese food.
What could be improved: The light in the kitchenette wasn't working and couldn't be fixed while I was there but that was not a big issue. I got by with that. But the elevator evidently has not been working since November so you have to go up for flights of stairs, it's on the fourth floor (US fifth floor) and when you're going down the last flight doesn't get lit until you're almost at the bottom so you might want to use your flashlight.
It was very good that it was close to everywhere. The landlord was attentive to us.🙏🏻🫠
What could be improved: The elevator is broken.
