Walking into what I expected to be just another Belgrade hotel and finding myself in this surprisingly sophisticated space that actually lives up to its name. I mean, when you’re staying on Velbuška street in Palilula, you’re not exactly in the tourist bubble – this is where actual Belgrade starts to unfold, and honestly, that’s exactly why this place works so well.
The loft-style rooms have these great high ceilings that make everything feel more spacious than the square footage suggests, and the windows are generous enough that you get a real sense of the neighborhood below. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even though you’re close enough to walk to Skadarlija (maybe 15 minutes if you don’t mind the stroll) and the Danube waterfront isn’t far either. The staff clearly knows their stuff – they had solid recommendations for places locals actually eat, not just the obvious tourist spots. Check-in was smooth, no drama with parking, and the Wi-Fi actually works properly, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places mess that up.
The thing about staying in Palilula is you get this authentic Belgrade experience without the noise and chaos of the absolute city center, but you’re still connected to everything that matters. Люблю квартиры на последнем этаже. Было чисто, хозяйка откликалась на наши просьбы.
What could be improved: Прохладно для декабря, но хозяйка регулировала отопление, и можно было включить кондер, хоть это и нежелательно, так как известно, что в Европе это дорого.

Location is good, walkable distance from the center and main attractions. Parking spot is a great advantage in this area.
Also bed was very comfortable. You can't expect more at this price.
What could be improved: In general it was fine. Facilities are not brand new and renovation of the apartment is not very neat.
But it is still clean and comfortable, so nothing really negative.

Great place. I rarely rate something as a 10, but this is it. It is not perfect, but it has got everything that is important right, which is rarely the case. Will visit again.

What could be improved: Bear in mind, these are very minor inconveniences, especially for the price.
Tap water taste is not great, but it is drinkable.
If you are taller than 185 cm in one place in the corridor you may want to crouch a bit.
There is no kettle and no microwave. And the food sticks to pans when frying.
The furniture is not brand new and the repair works of the apartment could be done better. But I need to empathize - everything that is actually important is there and working properly.
