Great location (walking distance to all top attractions), spacious enough for a family of four and equipped with everything you need including a hairdryer. Antique tiled stove in the corner was a nice touch. We loved the building with the old spiral staircase and old wooden post boxes on the wall. A lot of character and we felt like we travelled back in time.
Keys lock box, so easy to check in. Comfortable beds.
Great communication with the host who organized the white card for us on the day of arrival.
Overall a wonderful place, very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend and stay again ourselves.

Romance
So I stumbled across Hotel Romance on Vladětina Street last spring, and honestly?
So I stumbled across Hotel Romance on Vladětina Street last spring, and honestly? The name had me rolling my eyes a bit – I mean, how cheesy can you get, right? But after spending three nights there, I actually get it. This place has this unexpectedly intimate vibe that somehow doesn’t feel forced or over-the-top romantic in that cringe way some hotels try too hard to achieve.
The location is pretty brilliant, actually. You’re right in Palilula, which most tourists completely overlook, but it’s where Belgrade starts feeling less touristy and more… well, real. Vladětina is this quiet residential street with actual neighbors walking their dogs and old guys playing chess in the small park nearby. It’s maybe a 15-minute walk to Skadarlija (the bohemian quarter everyone raves about), but you’re far enough away that you won’t hear drunk tourists singing at 2 AM. The tram stop on Cara Dušana is literally around the corner – super handy for getting to the city center without dealing with Belgrade’s parking nightmare.
What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to nail that boutique hotel feel without being pretentious about it. The rooms are genuinely thoughtful – mine had this gorgeous view of the quiet courtyard, and the bathroom had one of those rain showers that actually works properly (you know how hit-or-miss hotel showers can be). The staff remembers your name, which sounds small but makes such a difference when you’re trying to figure out where to get the best ćevapi at 10 PM. Speaking of which, the front desk guy – I think his name was Marko – gave me directions to this amazing little kafana that I never would’ve found otherwise. The breakfast isn’t huge, but it’s got proper Serbian stuff alongside the usual hotel fare, and their coffee is surprisingly good for a hotel brew.
I stayed in May, which turned out to be perfect timing – warm enough to keep the windows open (the street is quiet enough that traffic isn’t an issue), but before the summer crowds hit Belgrade hard. The whole area comes alive in the evenings when locals are out walking, and there’s something really lovely about being in a proper neighborhood instead of some sterile tourist district. That 9-point rating they’ve got? Yeah, I can see it. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Belgrade, but everything just… works. You feel looked after without being fussed over, and the location gives you this perfect balance of being close to everything but not in the middle of the chaos. Plus, honestly, the value is incredible – you’re getting genuine four-star comfort at prices that won’t destroy your travel budget.

What Our Guests Say
The apartment was clean and beautifully decorated.
What could be improved: The parking. The street was in construction and we had to park a little bit far. And as you cannot park and pay for more than two hours there was the risk to get a fine.
Wonderful apartment and host in a perfect central location.
Nice place, clean, comfortalbe, very nice host... we like it, 10 stars...
What could be improved: No parking space at all... we couldn't find parking
